I'm very happy with the winner of this game, I love Vogue , and I agree, it' a dance music classic! I also love Your Woman, a worthy runner-up! The new game will start a little later today.

A worthy winner. As much as I quite like the quirkiness of Your Woman, Vogue is by the far the timeless classic.

I'm pleasantly surprised by the turnabout overnight, Even though I don't think Madonna/Vogue was the best number 1 of the 90s (that's Aqua/Barbie Girl, obviously), its preferable to White Town/Your Woman. Now, about Lonnie Donegan...

Lightfoot famously said he'd never heard a cover of one of his songs that he didn't like - which might have been a wry comment on the income the best known songs earned him that way. Early Mornin' Rain was a staple of Elvis' best gigs during the Vegas period. It's on Elvis Today (1972) which is a fairly patchy set of performances of stuff intended to make The King sound like he was in touch. It's something of a standout next to perfunctory stabs at the likes of Hey Jude, and he did it well live.

03/05/2023 35 White Town – Your Woman -6 24 Madonna – Vogue +4 I love both of these songs for different reasons. Makes a change from the final 2 80s songs, which I could appreciate academically but which didn't make my heart warm and fuzzy.

I agree with you. I’m a PSG and France supporter so I had my share of disappointments this year, but c’est la vie, nothing dramatic. About your last sentence, I’m also annoyed when a article says that someone or some club has beaten an « historical » record of English football, but when you look closer, it’s only in the history of Premier League, so in the last 30 years.

I don’t care what we do so long as the 2009 rightful champion ‘I Gotta Feeling’ by Black Eyed Peas wins. 14 weeks #1 in US. 2 weeks #1 in UK. #1 in 20 countries. #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 decade-end chart. #8 on the all-time chart. 3rd most successful song of the decade in Australia. The first song in digital history to sell over seven million digital copies in the United States. The most downloaded song on the iTunes Store of all time. The highest-selling digital (non-charity) single in the US ever.

I wouldn't say it's the worst job ever, but I did 1 day trial run on one of those River Thames boat cruising companies in Windsor and I would be in the shop selling tickets etc. However nobody bloody taught me how anything worked on the till properly as i'd never done that type of work before. So when it was time for me to help customers get tickets I was anxious to the max and kept getting things wrong as it used a machine I wasn't familiar with. I ended up leaving early and made my mum drive to Windsor to give back my uniform. It wasn't even busy that day so it would be 10x worse come height of summer when the tourists came. Bonus is I got a free boat ride. Now in my early 30's i'm in process of getting diagnosed for Adult Autism and things are starting to click in my head about why I may have acted in certain ways since childhood. Meanwhile, I can eaily work on an NHS reception desk and deal with patients who are on the verge of yelling at you, or even calling 999 while a patient is collapsed in reception and get a crash team down there asap. Panic later, deal with this crisis first.
