6 pointsRise and shine, happy dead-poolers - it's your Sunday morning update! Just what you need to start off The Lords Day - a update on people he didn't care enough about to save. And it's another popular one, George Alagiah, selected by all but 4 teams. Only @Gooseberry Crumble (naturally), @Great Uncle Bulgaria, Mrs @Pedro67 (has she really never heard of Alagiah and @tracy (fair enough - he wasn't born in the 1920s ) failed to pick the ex-newsreader. For someone who was a very public figure and who received numerous awards, pictures of this were surprisingly hard to come by, with only 3 players scoring a picture bonus. GEORGE ALAGIAH +2 Base Point +2 Drop 40 +2 (Hidden Bonus No. 6: "+2 if picks Wikipedia page has a "Personal Life" Section") +3 (Hidden Bonus No. 8: "+3 if they were born in a country that does not now exist") -3 (Hidden Bonus No. 10: "-2 if the pick has written an autobiography. -3 if they have written more than 1") +6 TOTAL POINTS Hits for: An Fear Beag (Bonus +1 Position 23 on list) Bibliogryphon Book (Bonus +2 Picture posted) BuffaloPhil (Wildcard) Captain Chorizo Captain Hemlock (Wildcard) Funeralopolis (Bonus +1 Position 24 on list) Gcreptile (Bonus +1 Position 24 on list) (Bonus +1 Picture posted) (Wildcard) LizLemon (Bonus +1 Position 21 on list) Marinisia (Breaks run of hits in order) MSC Pedro Perhaps (Wildcard) The Old Crem The Old Lady (Bonus +1 Position 14 on list) The Unknown Man Toast Torva Messor (Bonus +1 Position 22 on list) TQR ThereWillBeDeaths7 (Bonus +1 Position 12 on list) Wannamaker (Bonus +1 Picture posted) A few players fell foul of the "Consecutive hits born in the same decade" penalty. 5 pointsAnd I'm back from my trip to Finland! Enjoyed the time with my girlfriend's family a lot, we stayed for some time at her family's summer cottage and the rest of it in Tampere where most of her direct family lives. Also got to meet some newest members of the family as her cousins are beginning to get children. Weather was fine as well; some more wind than usual for the area and some cloudy days, but also multiple sunny days. All in all I love what I've seen from the country since I've started visiting it some years ago: lots of nature, large cities that don't feel crowded but have a lot to offer (Helsinki, Tampere) and kind people. Lastly, I'm learning Finnish on Duolingo since a year or two, definitely not fluent yet but learning a lot of new words and can now reasonably follow an average conversation between Finnish people. Kiitos hienoista viikoista, Suomi!

3 pointsAnd so we move on to the man with one suit, Tony Bennett. Only picked by 8 players in this pool, he was more popular in the DDP, giving him a bonus for being Drop 40, and also popular with The Committee, giving him the DL Alumnus bonus. Sadly for his backers in this pool, he was also quite fond both of himself, giving us a -3 point "bonus" for multiple autobiographies, and of wives for which he gets -2 for his 2 remarriages. The upshot is a measly 3 points on offer. TONY BENNETT +2 Base Point +2 Drop 40 +2 Deathlist Alumnus +2 (Hidden Bonus No. 6: "+2 if the picks Wikipedia page has a “Personal Life” section") -3 (Hidden Bonus No. 10: " -2 if the pick has written an autobiography. -3 if they have written more than 1") -2 (Hidden Bonus No. 11: "-1for each time a pick has remarried") +3 TOTAL POINTS Hits for: Book (Bonus +1 Picture posted) Liz Lemon (Bonus +1 Picture posted) Mrs Pedro (Bonus +1 Hits in order) The Unknown Man Toast (Bonus +1 Picture posted) TQR (Bonus +2 Picture posted) Tracey (Wildcard) ThereWillBeDeaths7 The only person to have Bennett as a wildcard was @tracy for only their fourth hit of the game. The first three were Ben Ferencz, Al Jaffee and Milan Kundera and do you know what those four have in common? Yep, they were all born in the 1920's, meaning a 4 point deduction, doubled for the wildcard! Its like deja-vu, all over again. The result is a score of -2 for their Tony Bennett hit @ThereWillBeDeaths7follows up their Kundera deduction with a Bennett hit, giving them a -3 "bonus" and a score of 0 for the hit @Book, @The Unknown Manand @Toastalso followed up their Kundera hit with a Bennett one, giving all three a -2 "bonus" for hits born in the same decade. Mrs @Pedro67 gets her second hit of the game, but remains in second from last position, gazing upwards at @Pedro67, but with @Gooseberry Crumbleperched beneath her. The net result of all of this work is that there is bugger-all change in the leaderboard, with Book edging closer to our long-time leader @gcreptile GCREPTILE +77 7 Hits BOOK +66 7 Hits CAPTAIN HEMLOCK +61 5 Hits THEREWILLBEDEATHS7 +55 8 Hits AN FEAR BEAG +54 5 Hits WANNAMAKER +52 6 Hits THE OLD LADY +52 4 Hits BIBLIOGRYPHON +50 5 Hits GREAT UNCLE BULGARIA +49 6 Hits CAPTAIN CHORIZO +37 6 Hits BUFFALO PHIL +37 5 Hits FUNERALOPOLIS +34 5 Hits TORVA MESSOR +34 4 Hits PERHAPS +33 5 Hits TOAST +33 5 Hits TQR +33 4 Hits THE UNKNOWN MAN +31 5 Hits MSC +26 5 Hits LIZ LEMON +26 3 Hits MARINISIA +24 2 Hits THE OLD CREM +17 3 Hits TRACY +14 4 Hits PEDRO67 +16 2 Hits MRS PEDRO +10 2 Hits GOOSEBERRY CRUMBLE +4 1 Hit

2 pointsNot sure where to put this (as not really League, I guess - English footy remains a mystery to me in large part). Anyhow, goalkeeper Sid Negus, who was Fakenham Town's oldest living player, has died aged 96: Article from 2 years ago to get his position and age: https://footballinberkshire.co.uk/features/history-nostalgia/54007/fakenham-towns-berkshire-connection-with-binfield-and-ascot-united/

1 pointFully recovered, both he and his wife (who's only 97) have gone voting and both walk without aid: Edit: I'd make a joke about him becoming the Prime Minister again in four years, but I think the old bigot might just die any day from sudden heart problems.

1 pointThank you very much, @TQR, you're very kind. I thought it'd be, like, ironic... the day of my birthday... negative points to two songs titled "Happy Birthday". It was tempting.
