Familysearch's records are great, but the trees and profiles are maintained by simpletons and can usually be safely ignored. Case in point, her brother's page says he died in 2000, when he actually died in 2016 (clearly someone lazily confused him with another guy of the same name). She's listed as a survivor in that obituary and was returning fanmail as recently as 2022, so I think we can conclude the unsourced update claiming she died way back when isn't true.

Within a month both living nominees from the first editions of the award died, leaving 1960 without survivors as well, 1958 is the oldest edition with a surviving nominee for the award now, Colin McDonald (b. 1930)
