5 pointsFellow neurodiverse people! I have ADHD. I think I knew that already really, it ain’t exactly a life-changing revelation, but it’s, er, good(?) to have it confirmed. Would’ve been better to have known as a kid; I might not have gotten into so much trouble for ignoring, interrupting and rejecting almost all authority. Of course, I’m totally different now… What’s even better is that this comes slap in the middle of developing a study I’m doing with a few people about whether anyone is truly neurotypical. A helpful development, this.

4 pointsThank you! Outwardly at least, you seem to have it all worked out just fine. You're so right; it's not a superpower, more just a little reassuring "oh yeah, that'll be that then". Quite honestly, I think the only reason why I'm being diagnosed at 27 rather than 7 is because at school, dickhead though I was to some teachers, my work itself was fine. I know understanding has advanced in recent years but the fact that appears to have been the be-all and end-all criteria back then is astonishingly silly. I've always been very impulsive and ready to gamble; that used to be put down to cyclothymia. I've always been reticent towards people I don't know but an interruptor and borderline aloof towards those I know and love; I put down to just being a bellend. I've always fidgeted a lot, muddled words, taken a while to compose sentences I'm happy with, lost focus suddenly; I put that down to lack of sleep. When my energy and social battery is flat, it is fucking flat; a symptom of fibromyalgia, according to my doctor, so it must've been that. I've been utterly repulsed by odd things; certain textures, certain opinion schemas, unnecessary noises, unplanned phone conversations; that was put down to just being a fussy fucker. I've always had to have several things on the go at once; that was just me being easily bored. It's actually quite a sigh of relief to have something to knit it all together in a way that finally makes sense. It's embarrassing, mind, that I've been studying psychology for a while and not made, or rather accepted, the connection myself.

4 pointsDead Toleman! Founder of the Toleman F1 racing team Ted Toleman has died yesterday after some health problems noted by (of course!) Octopus of Odstock. In fact, most players of the game ignored OoO's post, which is a shame, because they are among the most knowledgeable on this site. The Toleman team wasn't really successful in their four years, but they gave Ayrton Senna his first chance in the Formula One, and were later purchased by Benetton, now the Alpine F1 Team. wannamaker makes up some ground (so half of my prediction in the previous post came true), and msc puts the last scoreless match-up on the board. 4 pointsD-A-CH-Hit No.6 ist Eckart Dux, a very well-known German TV and theatre actor and especially voice actor, who died on April 9th at the age of 97. He has been one of the longest active German-speaking voice actors, dubbing US movies and series into German, e.g. Anthony Perkins in Psycho, George Peppard in The A-Team, Jerry Stiller in King of Queens or Ian McKellen as Gandalf. There is no official press release yet, it is probably too early in the morning. Now everyone is awake: https://www.stern.de/gesellschaft/regional/niedersachsen-bremen/fernsehen--synchronsprecher-eckart-dux-gestorben-34618828.html

3 pointsSimone Weber, "la Diabolique de Nancy" dead at 94. Surprisingly enough, this makes all the front cover right now (and a breaking news notification from Le Monde ) whereas I thought she might have died under the radar… Should have put her on my french list, didn't know she was famous enough. She was convicted of having cut up her husband with a concrete grinder but always refuted the allegations

2 pointsSome other German voice actors born before 1930 who are still alive following Eckart Dux's death are: Rolf Schimpf (14 November 1924), not a real voice actor but he did some dubbing work in the 80s, his health issues are well-known, I think and he's lived in a retirement home for almost 14 years now Joachim Konrad (15 November 1924), had over hundred roles in "Star Trek", "Twillight Zone", "Poirot" etc., there are rumours that he might died in 2017 but no source to confirm it Rolf Marnitz (6 December 1925), dubbed Harry Dean Stanton in "The Godfather II" and had some other minor roles in "Batman", "Star Wars" and "The Omen" but already retired in the early 90s, he continued to do audio books until 2014, he possibly died off-radar Detlev Witte (1 January 1926), his last role was Jason Robards in "Magnolia" in 2000 which he did fabulously and won an award for, an Wikipedia user edited his page in 2021 and claimed that he died on 8 August 2003 and corrected his birthdate to "9 May" but he didn't gave a source so that edit was reversed, on the other hand an supposed grandchild of his edited his page in 2017 to also correct his birth date to "9 May" and didn't wrote anything about him being passed away, he also said that he still has his German Dubbing Award and wants to add a picture of it to the article in future, which he never did Osman Ragheb (11 May 1926), half-Egyptian and half-Austrian, who grew up in the British Mandate of Palestine, and later spoke Tony Shalhoub, Jon Voight, Kreacher in the Harry Potter Franchise and Peter Vaughan in Game of Thrones, he also had a small acting role in Schindler's List and was a dialect coach who worked with Brad Pitt and Meryl Streep in his career, he's retired nowadays, is almost deaf and has some memory problems, even though he still writes poems for his wife, which he can recite by memory, he gave an radio interview last year and he's an very friendly and intelligent guy Thomas Reiner (29 October 1926), probably most well-known for dubbing Professor Farnsworth but he didn't had that role in the Futurama revival last year, seems to be still active irregulary and only complained about sight problems in an interview from 2016, his last job seems to have been in 2021 Richard Baier (27 November 1926), not a classical voice actor but he's the radio presenter who first announced the 20 July 1944 plot to the public during World War II and later delivered the last propaganda report of the "Greater German Broadcast", where he famously said "The Fuhrer is dead, long live the Empire", he later was a political prisoner in East Germany for his work with American Sector Radio broadcasts, because of his historical significance I highly doubt that he died without an report Renate Grosser (18 September 1927), she dubbed the creepy old women in "Blair Witch Project", who described the Blair Witch, as a hairy half-human and half-animal beast, aside from that she seemed to have done a lot of cheesy crime shows in the 70s and 80s Friedrich Georg Beckhaus (11 December 1927), voice of Harry Dean Stanton, Robert Duvall and Klaus Kinski (who was too lazy to dub himself, which annoyed the dub director, which is why they gave him a thick Saxon accent in some of his movies), he finally retired last year Jürgen Thormann (12 February 1928), lives in an retirement home now but still voiced Michael Caine last year to everyone's surprise Karl-Ulrich Meves (13 November 1928), voiced Grover in the German version of the Sesame street among other lesser known roles, recently came out of retirement to appear in an audio play Eva-Maria Lahl (1929), not much is known about her, couldn't even find a picture of her on the web but she voices Agnes Skinner in "The Simpsons" and is still active May these legends continue to live very long

2 points"Last survivor" Is there anything other than his longevity that makes him significant? Were others on the Arizona famous if they lived half as long? If I see a justified response to my concerns I will award the point.

2 pointsBarbara Rush Torva Messor 7+1 Lou Counter https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lou_Conter "At the time of his death, he was the last living survivor of the sinking of the USS Arizona during the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941." @The Immortal I'm concerned about this one just because it seems he may have been famous because of his advanced age. He was there for a noteworthy event and war and write a book. His wikipedia page seemed to have been made only in December 2023. I'm leaning towards no on the point. Could I please hear an argument for him being otherwise famous, the popularity of his book, or anything else that should be taken into consideration in awarding a point? A reminder of the criteria I usually look at: Are they likely to obit in a major newspaper? Are they a well known celebrity? Do they have a Wikipedia page in any language (that clearly wasn't made just for Deathlisting) A rule that may go against your favour: Candidates cannot be famous solely for the fact they are likely to die imminently - this includes people famous only for their advanced age. - Would he be famous and noteworthy if he published that same book in 1981 but died in 1983 of his congestive heart failure, or is it only because of his longevity?
