3 pointsHerbert Rusche was a German politician (Green Party, later Pirate Parties) and LGBTQ activist. He was the first member of the German Bundestag in the history of the German Bundestag to openly admit his homosexuality. On March 12, 1984, Rusche was shot and slightly injured by a Neo-Nazi during a lecture on the issue of § 175 because of his homosexuality. He died on December 22, 2024 at the age of 72, probably as a result of an earlier stroke.

We have quite quickly weeded out some dross (and the odd gem) but just picking 10 to progress is really hard. I was only 10 in 1979 but had three older siblings so this music is really embedded in my psyche. The Eighties rounds will be even better

Basically no one gave him more than a couple of years and the idea of him making 2020 was ridiculed. With his recent woes it’s easy to forget just how much of a survivor he is!
