Should Zsa Zsa be on this years list or 2006? She has many different ages such as being 95 88 and 86 years old? She was always known to lie about her age. I see her as being a fair canidate.

New Jersey media outlet Thirteen PBS seem to have jumped the gun earlier today and accidentally announced DJ Casper had died. As many of you know, he's long been a popular pick on DL across various pools after being diagnosed with both kidney and neuroendocrine cancers in 2016. In 2018, he announced that he had been spared by the mercy of God and that he was a changed man etc. etc. but apparently not... A quick look on Facebook reveals several posts from family and friends, requesting prayers, claiming he's "gravely ill" and in his last days. Here, here, and here. If true, a sad DDP miss as he isn't picked. I believe I'm right in saying last picked in 2020? No doubt someone will moan but I think he's big enough to merit his own thread. Plus 1) he doesn't really fit nicely into any others and 2) I never create any bloody threads round here so lay off the hate

Longest-serving Japanese PM in history, already stepped down from the role once in 2007 due to chronic ulcerative colitis, has recently visited hospital twice in the space of a few days - sparking concern about his health across Glorious Nippon. He's refused to reveal what the purpose of the visits was, and chronic ulcerative colitis is a risk factor for colon cancer.

That is how people like that go - suddenly without notice sending the fans, the nation and the world into shock over the loss of a great and enduring entertainer. But as we all know when the time is up the time is up no matter who, what or where you are. Bennett is 86 and seems to be doing well but that will serve as the shocker for the disbellief. It's easy to put people on the list that are obviously aged and looking half dead already, like Kirk Douglas and others. But the hard part is picking someone that no one would suspect is going to just kick over and.............well you know. I just have this feeling lately about Tony, even played some of his songs on YouTube - check out "if I ruled the world". Well maybe Tony does rule the world the way he is still at the top of the game, you know? What do you think?

Yes, in lieu of the ongoing health battles of this icon of French, Hollywood and British cinema, it’s time she gets a thread.

The BBC newsreader George Alagiah has been diagnosed with bowel cancer for a second time.He was first diagnosed with Stage 4 bowel cancer in April 2014 which had spread to his lymph nodes and liver.Due to the presence of 8 tumours in his liver a substantial part was removed. He underwent 3 operations and nearly 18 months of chemotherapy. No news on the stage of his cancer or whether it has spread again this time but given the seriousness of the last cancer diagnosis it looks grim.Alagiah is 62 and has worked for the BBC for 29 years initially as a foreign correspondent covering Rwanda Afghanistan and Somalia. For the last 15 years he has been the presenter of BBC News at 6 (Most recently 15/1/18).He has also interviewed Desmond Tutu Nelson Mandela Robert Mugabe and Kofi Annan. Surely a possible future DL candidate if he lasts long enough ?

If anyone hasn't yet checked out "Elizabeth is Missing " (available on BBC iPlayer) , this is a wonderful insight into Alzheimers . 2020 BAFTA gong assured for Glenda. Now I know she was acting.....and she is "only" 83....but she gives such a convincing performance that you have to wonder...? Anyway...a few players pick her every year.....and it may well be worth keeping an eye out when she collects the gong on Feb 2nd ?

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Soul singer Aretha Franklin on Thursday canceled all of her appearances until next spring on the orders of doctors. Franklin, 68, the "Queen of Soul" who famously sang at President Barack Obama's inauguration in 2009, pulled out of all concert and personal appearances "at the insistence" of her doctors until May 2011, her publicist said. The decision comes on the heels of the multiple Grammy winner being released from a Detroit hospital on October 30th, where she had admitted for undisclosed reasons. "The award winning songstress sends her sincerest apologies to her loyal followers and colleagues for the canceled shows," the statement read. "Ms. Franklin is resting comfortably at home, but is very anxious to get back on the road to perform for her countless fans around the world," it added. In August, Franklin canceled two concerts after suffering a fall that left her with a couple of broken ribs...

I think it's time for an Alan Arkin thread. There's no info on his health, but he is getting up there in age. An absolute legend in America.

Mr Panayiotou seems to be as fond of the Class A's as my previous sleb thread heroine, Amy W. Ladies and Gentlemen, do we have Faith that he'll live to be much Older or is he on The Edge of Heaven? (yes, I had to look all those up).

She's been talked about on a few other threads but hasn't got one for herself (until now) Happy 92nd birthday to Winnie Ewing, Madame Ecosse, is a trailblazer whose ambition and achievements have inspired the Scottish independence movement for decades, ever since she made history winning the 1967 Hamilton by-election.

Meatloaf has to be a serious contender for the deathlist sooner rather than later because: *He is fat *He is diabetic *He professes to know secrets relating to the assassination of JFK (through his Policeman father): He confides, "It definitely wasn't Lee Harvey Oswald - and that's not my theory, I just know things. But I can't say anymore. I've been threatened, so I've got to keep very quiet. I didn't see the assassination, but I was at the hospital when he (JFK) got there." *He allegedly has a large collection of teddy bears which he claims can come to life. He is however, only 58/53 depending on who you believe and a strict vegetarian. Is this enough to save him?

Nominal GOP front runner presidential candidate, economic idiot and former CEO of Goodfellas Pizza Herman Cain would have probably got his own DL thread anyway merely out of the fact that he's a possible assassination risk if he ever does become US president. However, what's of more use to us is the fact that in 2006 he was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer that had metastased to his liver. Although it's now in remission, I can't imagine the stress of running for president will do him that good, and even the most optimistic of his doctors say that he has a "50% chance of being alive five years from now". So have at it.

Bit of a shock that one. Aged 59 according to BBC news.

Amazed he doesn't have his own topic. Former Italian PM, Silvio Berlusconi has had a pacemaker fitted and is now in the hospital for a cardiac deficiency. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-36468019 In any event, good value surely for discussion.

She's due to die soon, surely? I've got money on her snuffing it in December

Considering some who have their own threads, this one is long overdue. Pat Robertson, the founder of the Christian Broadcasting Network and a familiar face on its flagship program The 700 Club, has been hospitalized, CBN announced Friday. The 87-year-old, who also founded the private Christian university Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia, was hospitalized after falling while horseback riding. SC
