In 2020, Reptile was quick to suggest he took one batch and I'd take the next batch of new names, to add into the database. I twigged after agreeing that he'd given me the batch with WEP's 2020 additions! Leading to descriptions like this. And this. 

 

To make up for this, Reptile took the WEP names in 2021 and I had the porn star team to deal with. Which led to the moment where I absent mindedly told Mrs msc that I'd sort out dinner "in five minutes as I have to finish off three porn stars first". 

 

She knew it was DDP related. Still took the piss for weeks!

I think this year’s Not Gone Yet but Still forgotten stands a good chance of a hit with a decent Q/O chance with Maria Branyas Morera.

I retired from the DDP this year as it's no longer something I enjoy, but it's sad to see a few of my past uniques haven't been carried over this year.

Notably:

Kim Weston (wiki), soul singer who duetted with Marvin Gaye in "It Takes Two", turning 84 this year with a bad history of serious health issues.

Eddie Stobart (wiki), haulage giant who has disappeared from the face of the earth in recent years, turning 94 in April.

A few notes:

In the interest of 100% accuracy, DCAU Demises is actually a DC Animated Universe theme team, not the live-action DC Cinematic as the description currently says. I did make a DC Cinematic team, too, but I thought the Animated team was more interesting. (And less likely to be 100% punts).

 

I think Steve Wojciechowski is supposed to be the NHL player known as Steve Wochy, not the basketball coach. At least... there'd be no reason for a centenarians team to pick the basketball guy.

As always, I'm pleasantly surprised just how few issues there are, relative to the size of the monster that is the DDP.

 

Glad to see we are on our way, well done to the DDP Committee for all your hard work (and hard work to come).

 

There will of course be much sorrow as the world loses our beloved celebs, never forget their contribution. Those hated celebs however...well, meh.

At a glance, no. Looks a case of slipping through the cracks due to her already being in the system. She was caught for 2021 but looks like she was there for all of 2022 without any of us noticing.

Just started my annual trawl of the DDP cross referencing it with my own 1000+ Name longlist and I noticed that Helena Bonham-Carter is out of order

 

She is listed at the bottom of the B listing. At first I thought she should have been in the Cs but she should be much further up
