Most of the songs on the list I am very familiar with, and have probably heard 100s or 1000s of times, but there is one, Odyssey – Use It Up and Wear It Out , that I have literally never heard of. I just checked it out on youtube and still I don't recognise it, even though I know their other songs like Native New Yorker and Going back to my roots. Very weird.

 

'Use It Up and Wear It Out' definitely seems to be one of those not-the-song-you'd-have-thought-would-be-their-only-number-one number ones, but it's been an occasional recurring earworm for me since Charles Venn did a salsa to it on Strictly a few years ago. An enduring hit in the machotrouts memory.
