I definitely think Psychedelic Furs guitarist John Ashton would make an excellent pick for the Deathlist. Stage 4 cancer since 2021 and he’s the exact type of cult music name that the committee loves to pick. Honestly feels like a match made in heaven

Likely to die maybe, but a rather minor figure musically. Nowhere near as important as Mark E. Smith and Genesis P-Orridge were in their fields.

David Attenborough and Noam Chomsky need to come back in the Deathlist 2024, they have been removed from the DL these year. Also put Michael Caine, Vanessa Redgrave, Sophia Loren , Brigitte Bardot as famous actors and actress. Dick Cheney needs to get off. Why put him in it ? He is 82 years and in good health. Also Prunella Scale and Timothy West needs to be into the DL. Some head of states or king or queens : Raul Castro, Paul Biya, Akihito former emperor of Japan, perhaps, his wife Mashako too, King Albert 2 of Belgium, King Harald 5 of Norway.

Some Hollywood actors : Gene Hackman, Robert Wagner.....and Joanne Woodward should stay in the DL.

Maybe it’s a US/Generational Gap thing but I definitely wouldn’t call the Furs rather minor. The fact that John Hughes named one of his films after a Psychedlic Furs hit (as well as use the song in said film) proves they have at least some sort of major presence in pop culture

Cheney has obviously been a premature pick up to this point, but I think he's now at the stage where including him is reasonable. His doctor gave him 10 years to live in 2012, and obviously he'll a couple years past that by 2024. He definitely could live another few years, but he won't make 90 and given that he's already been on five lists I can't see them taking the risk of cutting him now.
