To be fair, to those south of Hadrians Wall, that's just about everyone that isn't Celtic or Rangers.

Luckily being known by an old guy from Dagenham has never been a DDP prerequisite. :D

Oh come on, we all know loads of Scottish footy teams.  Hibs and Hearts, Hamilton Academicals, Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Forfar 4 East Fife 5.  :D

With the inevitable discussions about which picks should be dropped we should adapt the Kill or Save format to whittle the 45 remaining candidates down to 25

Watched The Abominable Snowman (wiki) last night on Amazon Prime (I wouldn't recommend btw).

Basically a 1957 British horror flick directed by Val Guest, and starring a mismatched Forrest Tucker and Peter Cushing. Supporting them on their expedition to find the yeti was the beautiful Maureen Connell (wiki), who is now 93.

She had a very promising film career in the 1950s but it looks like she gave up her career from her children.

Anyway, I looked around online and there's barely any trace of her! That was until I checked StarTiger, and it seems that she was still signing autographs as of April.

Could die off radar, or could make for a cheeky unique pick on the DDP and score a Times or Telegraph obit.

I think these three celebrities who went conspicuously quiet on their ailments recently and were diagnosed a couple of years ago: Jungle Jack, Edie McClurg, Valerie Perrine, should be considered.

The “health battle” was a Covid positive test in 2022, when the episode was filmed. Yes, the Mirror really thinks this is worthy of a whole article.

Watched Planes, Trains and Automobiles earlier... a medium tier comedy flick with John Candy and Steve Martin. McClurg played a clerk on a rental car desk. It's easy to forget just how many movies she was in. A very prolific actress, hence the fact she hasn't been in anything since 2022 suggests that this is the end.

80 in July... if she even makes it. I say put her on the list.

He passes my fame test as although I've never heard of him, I have a friend from Tyrone and she will definitely know who he is.

That's everyone's joker sorted out then.

If he obits.

Cavanagh and Shannon didn't (as of yet) despite being well-known in Ireland.

Gormley, however is Northern Irish, the other two were Southern Irish and that could make the difference.

Mind you, seems worth the risk.

She has dementia. She is no longer able to act, but not necessarily near death.

We know that Undead, but what Ulitzer and I were saying was it’s been so long and for someone who acted in so much not caring how small because she hasn’t acted since 2022 she’s near death.

She has a small role in a nineties Columbo (Ashes to Ashes with Patrick McGoohan as an evil undertaker) as a widow who couldn't be happier her husband is dead and is an absolute hoot in it as is her usual.

There have alas been allegations of elder abuse (warning the link gives grim details) here and that tends to speed up the prognosis , thinking of Casey Kasem and the like.

The linked article about his diagnosis is from the BBC which greatly increases the chances of an Obit I would say. The BBC does quite a lot of GAA coverage on its website particularly when there is a direct Northern Ireland link.

Being a Chaser is starting to seem like a cursed job. Mark Labbett had some concerned for his health a year or so ago when he lost all that weight, Paul Sinha has Parkinson's, Sean Wallace has recently been in the news because he's been forced to give up running on his doctor's orders. It's only Jenny and Darragh who seem to be ok.

With the exception of Sean Wallace, 3 out of 4 of those are obese. Serious health problems come with the territory.

Hegarty and Wallace are pretty much pension age and not in real danger. Vixen and Darragh my age roughly. Sinha has his Parkinsons but can still do TV let alone on the radar yet. Labbett health one to watch given he used to be 29 stone. But he's not that far off pension age either now. Curse couldn't be less worrisome if it was an Indian parliamentary Speaker on life support with sepsis-cancer-rabies/doing amazingly says family.

If you took the time to read the story you'd have found that this referred to an episode of Beat the Chasers filmed in 2022.

Quote

When the episode was filmed way back in 2022, Anne had to take a step back from filming and she announced on Twitter, now known as X, that she wouldn't be appearing in Beat The Chasers due to contracting Covid-19 at the time. Her tweet read: "Unfortunately I've contracted Covid-19 so won't be filming this series of #BeatTheChasers."

Of more concern for Sinha is the recent open-heart surgery, and the family history of heart disease leading to premature death.
