The brain is telling me to go for persons A or B or C (to be resolved later), but I'll go with my gut that's been screaming:

Henry Mountcharles

Well, just to be annoyed at myself here are names A,B,C - I just wasn't convinced enough of english obits/likeliness of death:

Pedro Sarmiento (Colombian football player/coach)

Yolanda Andrade (mexican actress)

Jose Angel Rovai (former argentinian arch bishop)

There's rules, and that and back when I started this kind of thing my dead pools were notable hangouts for low hanging fruit - I'm thinking ANY of the unpicked above would qualify because there'll be English language news sources in their countries that'd throw up acceptable obits. The requisite rule is below:

9 - An "obit" in the context of the MMMDP is any news report in English from a reliable source. Such sources include - but are not limited to - UK national press, UK national broadcast organisations, foreign press and broadcast organisations with an English language thread to their communication, trade press in English, local news organisations reporting in English and coverage in specialist online sites, such as those monitoring the well-being of super-centenarians. Where dispute arises over the qualifying nature of a news source for obit purposes MPFC's decision is final. But he wants fast and furious competition and is generally very amenable to low hanging dead pool fruit of all varieties.

I gave Sarmiento and Andrade a skip as well - just not convinced that they are actually dying.

What's the news on Lord Henry? I didn't see anything to suggest he is on his way out in the immediate future , but I'm not on any social media, so I presume something ominous has been posted?

I really like this game because it starts on my birthday, but at a difficult time for me (early morning), so it's difficult for me to participate, but I would choose Rosey Grier if I had managed to participate

FFS, that bastard couldn't wait a few more hours  Rule 13 says I can replace him so please add Anne Baker MBE as my new pick.

Ah sadly I was too late to join because I was working and my body was struggling to stay up until midnight (but I just about managed the KOS games). Good luck to everyone taking part.

FFS. I had it in my head this opened ON June 1st, not May 31st. Had already worked out when I'd be able to post in the morning.

Anyway, for what it's worth, I'd have taken a punt on Octopus's recent nudge, Rupert Keegan.

Has @drol got the win with Tin Oo ?

If he died after 5:30 local time, yes.

This obit (in Burmese) says that he died at 08:45, giving the cause of death as pneumonia.

Congratulations, Drol.
