Ideas and possibilities 2026

Recommended Posts

Eileen Derbyshire who turns 96 that year

Thelma Barlow who turns 97 that year

Ozzy Osbourne, 78, lifestyle and Parkinsons

Glenn Tipton, 79, long term Parkinson's

Michael J Fox, 65, long term Parkinson's

Denzel Washington, 72,

Barbara Knox, 93, would be sad but may be true

Bruce Dickinson, 68, cancer survivor but how long for if it ever returned

Anne Robinson, 82, she isn't doing anything anymore and hides old age on the outside but who knows about the inside?

Worth also noting too is Nikko Mcbrain who is a stroke survivor and 74 in 2026 and no longer plays in concert with maiden but did imply he was intending to be on their next album so we should give him to 2028 but tis only my opinion!

Are we not having the traditional full title of this thread "Ideas and possibilities"?

Time to consider Chris Hoy and possibly Victoria Jackson.

Instead of doing 26 for ‘26, here are just 10 names that deserve consideration:

  1. Chris Hoy (50): Terminal cancer. Pretty much a lock for the 2026 DL.
  2. Ozzy Osbourne (78): the last living individual from the 1987 list. I wouldn’t object to him being the next Clive Dunn.
  3. June Lockhart (101): If Eva Marie Saint is a hit in 2025, June Lockhart would be the perfect centenarian actress to fill her shoes.
  4. Brian Wilson (84): Former addict, current widower with dementia. God only knows how much time he has left.
  5. David Lynch (80): Seems more like a 2026 death than a 2025 one.
  6. Linda Ronstadt (80): Living with PSP for an unreasonably long time.
  7. James Watson (98): Longtime forum favourite, has looked frail for decades.
  8. Michael Caine (93): Near the top of the A-list. Talk of retirement a few years ago.
  9. Rex Williams (93): A boomerang hit waiting to happen
  10. Sam Nujoma (97): In declining health

Williams and Wilson made the 2025 list?

Mehmet Ali Agca would be a decent bet. Not particularly frequently mentioned hereabouts, but suffering from terminal cancer and very much obitable.

Here I shall also mention favourites of mine such as Donald P. Bellisario, Yuri Oganessian, Alan Oppenheimer, Sir John Williams, and Bas de Gaay Fortman.

Or "James Corden (arsehole)" as HG Tudor always calls him.

Sir Alex Ferguson- Just watched interview with him on Sky Sports Horse Racing channel, he looks to have aged quite a lot in last year or so since his wife died, his voice sounds weaker to me then it use to and would be 85 years of age at end of 2026, might be a bit too early but can see him going in next couple of years and too big a name to miss.

I'm still gonna say Henry Kelly. He's looked awful for ages and hasn't appeared anywhere in years.

I know I've mentioned her before, but Hamako Mori remains my own personal favourite. Mori will be 95 next year, and hasn't posted a video since May 2023. Reportedly "a little under the weather" as of 12 November 2023, but absolutely nada since. She says it's "not some kind of illness" but surely she'd have at least given an update by now if it wasn't? Mori's been covered by the Guardian before, leading to me thinking she'll likely obit.

JC may have been the longest lived US president but HT could be the longest lived grandchild of one

2026 will probably be about the time to add Bruce Willis and Bill Cosby

better safe then sorry I say.. I kept him on as well.  A year can be a long time.  I did not want Nov. rolling around and he taking a turn for the worse and wishing he was on the list
