CoffinLodger 1,248 Posted September 20, 2016 Happy 92nd. 92nd, oh yeah, the year he lost an election would be kinda ironic if he died for real at 92, having died politically in (19) 92 ! if Trump wins he probably will die , of a broken heart. Then again he's not going to be too ecstatic about either result

msc 18,436 Posted January 5, 2017 Bush Sr wont be attending Trump's inauguration on health and age grounds. The far more youthful Jimmy Carter will. In fairness, those health issues could easily involve nausea at the thought of being near Donald Trump...

Deathray 2,940 Posted January 5, 2017 Bush Sr wont be attending Trump's inauguration on health and age grounds. The far more youthful Jimmy Carter will. In fairness, those health issues could easily involve nausea at the thought of being near Donald Trump... I doubt it. Any former American president would surely feel a necessity to go to the funeral. Also an interesting fact is that when Donald Trump is inaugurated then; Bill Clinton, George Bush Jr, George Bush Sr, Barack Obama and Jimmy Carter will equal the five living former presidents record reached a few times in the past when Trump's inaugurated. While were on the subject; if Blair, Cameron, Major and Brown can hold out until May resigns or loses- the record of 5 former UK PMs alive will be equalled Surely one of these will clock up to 6 at some point and finally end the mass-tying for the record on both sides of the pond. But history suggests we should expect a president to die during Trumps reign and a Prime Minister to die during whoever takes office after Theresa May's ministry. msc 18,436 Posted January 5, 2017 Oh I know he's quite frail these days, but he did famously not vote for Trump.. Besides, Nancy Reagan lasted about 2 months after my gag about her skipping the Republican convention to watch Breaking Bad, so Bush should probably have his Will in order at that rate... Joey Russ 7,220 Posted January 7, 2017 The inauguration will be worth watching solely to see if Carter pulls a Ted Kennedy. Kennedy died in his home. Carter won't do a Ted Kennedy unless he dies at home, which in that case, you shouldn't watch the inauguration.

WednesdayAddams 103 Posted January 7, 2017 Been watching the more experienced news anchors out there and they are gearing up for some heavy stuff regarding this hacking and WikiLeaks. I'll have a fiver on the GOP impeaching him within a year. He's not a real Republican anyway.

msc 18,436 Posted January 7, 2017 If still alive on October 10th, Bush Sr will equal Reagan's previous longevity record. If still alive on November 24th, he'll equal the record (Ford). After that, he becomes the longest living US President in history. Jimmy Carter is 111 days younger than Bush Sr, so he has to survive into 2018 to surpass the Reagan, Ford and any potential records Bush Sr might set if he lives long enough. Some useless facts for you (my wonky maths notwithstanding).
