time 8,599 Posted April 18, 2016 He probably had the best character in that show, and there was some strong competition elsewhere. It's not even on the useless Channel 4 "iplayer" either. It is.

YoungWillz 21,044 Posted September 2, 2016 Fairly entertained by the Til Death Us Do Part remake. I'm too young to remember the original, though I have seen snippets. I do feel there wasn't enough snarl to Simon Day's performance, and it kind of worked originally because Alf was originally depicted as an angry short man. Simon's height would have made Alf a much more intimidating figure to his family, rather than an affectionate figure of ridicule. The wife was spectacular though, comic timing to perfection. YoungWillz 21,044 Posted September 3, 2016 Goodnight Sweetheart remake verdict - just as charming as the original. Except for the bigamy. Still just a tad...wrong. Possibly the best so far, but I'll not be watching the Keeping Up Appearances prequel, just not my thing.

It was ok until they changed the actresses playing the wives as the hotness level of each wife switched too.

YoungWillz 21,044 Posted November 25, 2016 Well, Friday night has brought some surprises! Renu Setna appeared on Citizen Khan. (Truly a dreadful show, btw - hopefully this will be a final series!) Been in loads of sitcoms and some serious roles. IMDB and Wiki don't have his age, but I'm guessing he's nearing his 80s by now. Then Michael Knowles turned up in Walliams and Friend. 80 next year, but looking great. Neither look like they are going soon, but a little nostalgia trip for YW.
