RadGuy 1,614 Posted May 7, 2017 Oh boy, some people still haven't figured out that MediaMass has the same goddamn article for every single celebrity? A mod oughta make a pinned thread explaining this.
Sir Creep 7,068 Posted May 7, 2017 No idea who he is or what exactly he does in the music industry, and that's AFTER reading this article. But I presume this is the correct place to drop it. Christopher Mercer, aka British bass music pioneer Rusko, is undergoing treatment for gastric lymphoma, a type of stomach cancer. In a note posted to Twitter, the producer explained that he has returned to the UK to receive treatment following a stay in an American hospital. He added that all upcoming shows have been cancelled, though new music is on the way. Though it may be posthumous. SC
Spade_Cooley 9,464 Posted May 7, 2017 Major name in dubstep a few years back, iirc he was one of the big names in "brostep" but I will plead to an ignorance of the genre so I may be wrong. Guaranteed Guardian obit within 30 minutes of him dying, no question.

Hadn't heard the term 'bass music' before, gun to my head I'd have guessed dubstep of some sort (I don't know all the breakdowns and subsets lol). He looked like a lock step obit, thought being young he should have some time left even if things head south quickly. SC
