He made no secret of his distaste for the Coalition and far less some of the policies his party supported whilst in Government. I was always a bit suspicious about Menzies Campbell motives and role in his removal as leader. This seemed to be more about his reputation internally within the party rather than what the electorate thought of him. He never recriminated publically though. A man of integrity.
