If Iran is confirming it too, my guess is ISIS will cave in within a few hours. June 30th.

Not the best source, but apparently a top ISIS leader delivered a sermon today that suggested al-Baghdadi was dead.

Wikipedia now has him as dead.

This is really annoying, we all know he's dead but can't cross him off since no source reporting it is reputable enough yet.

DM running with the article about a senior IS figure crying at the mention of his name.

Bit selfish. Some of us are waiting on the points.

Oh, and the whole middle east probably, for less selfish reasons, I guess...

He's probably crying cuz he had Sasha Lakovic in his IS DP, and no Middle East QO yet.

I've always said middle East sources are not reliable. When Reuters will announce it it will be true, till then it's nothing.

That's what I'm getting at as well. Another source states that anyone who hints at Al-Baghdadi's death will get 50 lashes. I'm thinking he's legitimately dead, but their not going to confirm it cause they know that by announcing his death, it'll weaken Isis. Which is a huge damn shame for DDP purposes, because if Russia confirms he's dead, but ISIS does not, that means no DDP points...

I don't think that even mad dogs like ISIS can keep everyone in the dark forever.  They are probably trying to "control the message" until they have a successor picked out.  I can't understand why anybody would want to work for these folks though.

Folks like DDT better hope this isn't another Mullah Omar situation where his death isn't announced until 2 years after the fact.
