Sir Creep 7,070 Posted August 25, 2017 Well, this fucker Harvey is a Cat 3 now. I'm well out of the way, and Carol Ann is north of Dallas so safe too, but if any of y'all are anywhere near Houston/Corpus Cristi area, get the hell outta the way. It's going to be a monster. SC Dunno if you're currently in Louisiana or at work in West Texas, but stay safe either way. Both areas could still be hit by flooding rains.
RadGuy 1,614 Posted September 4, 2017 Not bad weather at all this Labor Day weekend. 83 yesterday, 85 today. First signs of fall are on their way, though. Highs around 64-69 the rest of this week.
msc 18,474 Posted September 10, 2017 Donald Trump is planning to visit Florida shortly. “I hope there aren’t too many people in that path. That’s a bad path to be in.” said Hurricane Irma in a press release, in response.

philheybrookbay 439 Posted September 11, 2017 What I'd call the first proper hoolie (gale) of the Autumn this morning. Sea very rough with white horses with heavy showers. No late Summer this year! Also very noticeable that the trees Oak and Ash are starting to turn now- which is very early for the South West of the UK. Anyone else spotted the trees are very Autumnal very early this year??? Tempus Fugit 214 Posted September 11, 2017 Lots of looters in Florida, taking advantage of the weather, http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/irma-latest-news-florida-police-looting-homes-businesses-orlando-hurricane-curfew-officers-miami-a7940031.html Funny how the skin tone of all those looters in the picture is a shade of brown, must be racism from The Independent. Anyone else spotted the trees are very Autumnal very early this year??? That's very interesting. I live in the US and we're also experiencing fall foliage very early this year (at least in the Chicago area). Usually, at this time of year, the weather's still fairly hot and every tree is still green. But one of my neighbors' trees has been full yellow for over a week now. Many maple trees have patches of red and orange near the top. My elm tree in the front yard has a patch of red at the top. Of course, it's nothing major and still mostly green, but it feels like we're about 2-3 weeks ahead compared to most years. Probably caused by the cool and dry end of summer we've had. I started school in mid-August, and it's been sweater weather at least half the time since.

Sad really.
