Windsor 2,233 Posted February 20, 2013 I can't understand why it has been a top story for a week now. He isn't that famous in this country. He is now. Yes - I must admit that after posting that I read what was going on at his bail hearing. It does kind of sound like the leading detective on the case is trying to stitch him up.
Bibliogryphon 9,573 Posted February 20, 2013 Surely if you hear someone in the loo you would check the obvious candidates first before letting off four shots into the bathroom. If I was burgling a house I would not start in the loo I would go for the ipads, jewelery and olympic medals not razor blades and spot cream.

Vinegar Tits 606 Posted February 23, 2013 I can't understand why it has been a top story for a week now. He isn't that famous in this country. Hmm. Thinking back to 2012, other than various Brits, Pistorius was probably the second most famous Olympian/Paralympian after Usain Bolt (there's a joke somewhere in there about running but anyway...) themaninblack 2,112 Posted February 23, 2013 All this "Oscar" talk must have got the organisers of the Academy Award excited until they realised what Oscar everyone was talking about? This and the Michael Le Vell affair are of no help to us poor Deathlisters. The events happen too early in the year for the potential suicide and if they make it till the end of the year they are probably not going to do it. Honestly some people have not consideration. Magere Hein 1,400 Posted February 27, 2013 Atje Keulen-Deelstra (who?) Dead, but of course the non-skating, so the English speaking, part of the world completely ignored this fact. Anyway: she won one silver and two bronze medals at the 1972 Winter Olympics @ Sapporo, Japan. Not quite as impressive as her four World Allround Championship titles, mind. regards, Hein

So she can't sue anyone for putting her name and the words "drug cheat" in the same sentence, then. Maybe if they provisionally awarded strength-related gold medals at the Olympics and then agreed they'd only do the ceremony for every winning athlete who made it to the age of 70... Just an idea, like.
