O.J. Simpson: Run Out Of Juice?

Recommended Posts

So will Obama release OJ on "compassionate grounds"?

OJ got away with it twenty years ago and wrote a book "If I did it" years later and a year so after the book was published he was sentenced to 33 years in prison

I just read a comment on one of the stories , apparently the president can only commute or pardon federal prisoners , OJ Simpson is under Nevada state care.

So would he get treatment in jail and his family pay for it Or isn't he allowed treatment maybe one of our American members can answer that?

If he doesn't have brain cancer and can't get treatment might be a good pick for 2015.

Prisoners receive medical treatment for whatever ails them. Depriving them of medical care would violate the 8th Amendment.

And yeah, President Obama can't commute OJ's sentence even if he wanted to. Only the Governor of Nevada, who is a Republican, could let him out.

National Enquirer is running a Deathbed confession story for O J Simpson but as with all NE stories needs to be taken with a pinch of salt.

Ye I agree. I can also see why he was accuqited, the persecution did not present all of the evidence, the judge let the defense run amuck and one of the police was caught lying about evidence which is exactly what they needed to take advantage of in a time where racial tensions were high.

Innocent. The jury said so.

Spot on.

Watched the whole trial. It fact, followed it from the slow speed car chase.

"It's Show Business Folks."

Sad for the victims. But the jury did not have a clue. And Judge Ito was poor in the extreme. OJ bought the best defence attorneys he could and they too were amazed that the big fat clown got away with murder.

It is America, it doesn't matter a fuck if he was guilty.

It sold papers , t shirts etc, he was never going to be convicted.

Actually , there's a thread on its own.

"Who is the World's most famous person ever to do porridge?".

Hitler, obviously, but that was before his talents came to the fore.

Well, surely Jesus had to have spent time in prison between his arrest and crucifixion?

If we add length of time served into the equation then surely it's Nelson Mandela.

Mandela was only responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands, I'd still take Hitler in a game of w***er Top Trumps.
