Ulitzer95 12,576 Posted April 12, 2020 This is trivial but worth a mention. Brooke-Taylor is the second cast member of Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory to die in the last week. The other being dwarf actor Malcolm Dixon. Asides from the living child actors, the only surviving cast are now Wilkinson and Goffe of the oompa loompas, unless Shin Hamano (b. 1928), the Japanese candy store owner, is still alive in obscurity somewhere.
msc 18,436 Posted April 27, 2020 Robert Webb is a very lucky chap. Basically: routine medical showed up major heart issue, emergency open heart surgery, on mend. Tsk tsk, Gooseberry Reaper, don't go picking on one of the few 21st Century double acts that are actually funny (note - other opinions are available and may no doubt flow forth) in your 2020 kill 'em all. Youth in Asia 1,086 Posted April 27, 2020 Struggling to think of any other 21st century double acts actually, it was more of a 20th century concept

There's also Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton, if they count, but they do Inside No 9 which is great.

Sir Creep 7,070 Posted June 12, 2020 Where’s the confusion? - Comedians - Those who write comedy (sketch, TV, or for comedians). Kinda what the title says hmmmmm?

Slackhurst Broadcasting 374 Posted June 12, 2020 I’m guessing the above was about the late Denny O’Neil.* Perhaps there should be a thread for Comic Books and Strips? (*Who was a very notable figure in his field - one of the definitive writers in American comics’ “Bronze Age” of the early Seventies.)
