The plane is missing, and people are expecting that it has crashed. I see. JR976evil 906 Posted December 20, 2012 Assuming no one has mentioned Bud Spencer (b. 1929) anywhere else (I can't be arsed trawling through old threads). Was best known for starring in numerous rather lowbrow westerns and comedies from the 60s to the early 90s, usually alongside Terence Hill. They were fairly popular internationally for a time I think...
Death Impends 7,986 Posted December 25, 2012 Japanese comic writer Keiji Nakazawa, whose experience of surviving Hiroshima was the inspiration for his work Barefoot Gen, has died of lung cancer. I found out of his illness a few months back through sheer luck - I was bored and browsing through various Wiki pages on people who experienced the atomic bombings - and thus him on my planned DDP team (which I have not sent yet) in hopes that his interesting backstory and the success of his work would be enough to warrant an obit. It seems to be lucky on my part he died before the New Year: I've occasionally checked to see if he'd have gotten a relevant obit and a few weeks later, he's gotten some US obits of note such as one from the Washington Post, but nothing UK-based.
