dimreaper 692 Posted January 1, 2021 I say he makes it to his 100th and then departs shortly their after. That seems to be the trend with celebrities (Strom Thurmond, Bob Hope, George Burns).

ThePrematureBurial 224 Posted January 18, 2021 I'd like to know which vaccine the Royals received. Moderna, Pfitzer, or AstraZeneca?

Probably AstraZeneca as that is the one that can be easily transported to homes. Pfizer needs to be kept at unfeasibly low temperatures. There's no Moderna vaccine in this country yet, as far as I know.

I was curious, because I want the best vaccine for myself (of course) & but it's still unclear how well AstraZeneca works in people over 55. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-12-08/astra-vaccine-is-effective-but-leaves-questions-in-older-ages

There wasn't so much data in the preliminary results, but the trials were continuing all the time.

Cerberus 302 Posted February 8, 2021 The Royal Mint is hedging its bets with regard to Philip I see: big royal birthdays get marked with a commemorative £5 coin but although they've produced one for the Queen's 95th there's nothing for his 100th. Clearly somebody reckons that the odds on the Duchess of Edinburgh making it to April are considerably better than those of the Duke hanging on 'til June.
