Derby Dead Pool 2017

Recommended Posts

I'm wondering how Chorizo's team will look now, maybe making a comeback and winning the title once and for all. Also, how's my first main team ever? Cause the biggest regret I have was dropping Bracknell...

Yes, that was a dilemma. I couldn't resist picking him in Shaun's Deadpool though (the replacement window). Contradicting myself there... without payoff.

Here's my team of Rons to do one, ...and its goodnight from him)

I was tempted at the last minute (but too late) to try a team of Peters

I could have put Peter Falk in.

Shaneen Doherty

It's Shannen, not Shaneen. I wouldn't bother if it was a typo, but you are consistently spelling it wrong, so this is just FYI.

Too kind. I looked around the net for a good 10 minutes or so before handing my team in, thinking "Where are the picks the big three would find?" Turns out, the answer to that was: "Nearly all on my shortlist".

Still, I stuck to a very simple rule this year. Listed my shortlist by age, axed those I didn't think would die/very too risky/not enough info, and then took the top 20 youngest. This meant folk like Peter Skellern and Dorris Francis, who I think are good picks for 2017, had to miss out. The only real doubt is Kobayashi's QO obit status, but meh, I'm happy with my 20.

Inspired by the number of famous deaths in 2016, and further buoyed on by idleness I have chosen more proper celebrities these days. Donald Trump wasn't intended to be on the DDP but was brought on as a sub. Still a chance he could die in 2017 so not too fussed.

Doing OK, apparently.

I spoke with Carl Verheyen today about Rick's 95% cancer remission, and while there is no chance for a complete 100% remission, it is still close enough to where he can get treatments and perhaps go on the road.

Maybe it'll turn for the worse later this year...

Falling for Rick Davies isn't as bad as those who fell for the Scott Thorson terminal ass cancer one though. Or Jasper Carrot. Or fucking Ryan arsehole Buell. Besides, if his cancer returns with a vengeance (as has been known to happen) you'll be laughing. I remember well that year many of us poor sods picked Seve Ballesteros as our number one in the Inverse Deadpool...

Daily Mail and Independent did stories on her.

Whether or not they'll follow up is my worry, but I reckon they will.

Ah but you've got around 12-13 likely hits - compare that to the 40-50 teams who scored 0/20 last year.
