Joey Russ 7,220 Posted April 27, 2018 I don’t see why it shouldn’t count, but imo, you would really need some good luck with him in order to have one published for him. I’d love to see an obituary from a major news site to a highly acclaimed actor in the Philippines, but he hasn’t crossed over into the UK during his lifetime, so unlikely to happen (though he’s quite the fascinating individual, I must admit). If there’s one person that I had to choose to send a letter to the Guardian to write an obit for though, its Cynthia Heimel. Another fascinating character but got mentioned multiple times in the Guardian in the past, yet, apart from the now dropped Independent, received no UK coverage. Disappointing really...
