I'm not crazy about either song, but King Curtis's version of AWSOP captured the mood nicely in Withnail.

 

There must have been almost as many Keiths as there were Rogers in '60s British pop/rock. Those days are gone. If you tried to register your baby as Keith now, you'd be taken to the funny farm.

Aye, on the other hand if you called your baby Prog nobody would care that much either way. Youngsters encountered randomly and recently in my existence include two four year olds one called Elvis and one called Ernest

I rather like the backstory that they recorded it at the last minute, and Stevens had to do the spoken word monologue to get Tempo to remember the lyrics. Hard to envision that happening on a big hit in today's polished times!

Bit too young for that lot but loved their stuff when I heard it and finally caught up with them (still a going concern) at A New Day a couple of years back. Monkman hasn't been in their bewildering number of different line ups since 1990.
