Just gone midnight in the UK (much more respectable 9.30 in my part of Australia), so Happy Birthday QE2! Somehow me thinks wishing her happy birthday here will more likely get me an appointment in the Tower than a piece of cake and cucumber sandwich but the sentiment is there nonetheless. Also my 5th wedding anniversary if anyone is interested.

A fairly simple game. Nominate 25 general election seats that will be taken by another party at the general election and nominate the new party. Points will be awarded as follows. The majority from the previous general election or by-election if the seats changes hands. + Half the majority from the previous general election or by-election if the correct new party is predicted. Deadline for entries is June 8th at 06:59am. Credit to SofTD for the general idea.

Can I just say that IMHO pledging that you are not going to raise Tax, NI or VAT is simply a stupid pledge by any party who wants to be able to stick to their promises. 5 years is a long time. Unfortunately it is the stupid empty promises like this that have been proved to win recent elections.

Swings and roundabouts. The 1997 election was the Tories worst loss since the Great Reform Act! Probably. I suspect this is a good election to lose. And with Brexit (even if it goes well*, lots of folk'll be pissed off by stuff they thought they were getting which they wont), and talk of removing the pension triple lock, increasing income tax, etc etc... Might not be the last landslide in the next decade! *Obviously we all have a vested interest in it going well now its going to happen! Yes. All it needs is for a sleeping virus to KO nearly everyone in the country on June 8th, and the only people with immunity are fans of Owen Jones... Simple.

Ah yes the longest suicide note in history.I have heard speculation that if some polls are correct it could be Labour`s worst GE result since 1931.

To be honest I think the likelihood is a Tory win with a much lower majority than she expected.

The UK and Theresa May are clearly trying to be Zimbabwe, she is attempting to create a 1 party nation by winning all seats. The truth is, Africa realized along time ago, this was the best way to rule. However, she has diabetes, and worse it is type II, the selfish kind, this means she possibly likes a bit of a good time so not suitable to vote for.

My wife turned to me during her mother's funeral and hissed, "When we get home later, I'm going to make you fucking pay for this!" For the life of me I couldn't think of what I had done wrong. Maybe it's because I wasn't sharing my popcorn.

Happy birthday your maj. Wondered how pissed off she is at a General Election over-shadowing it. Especially as she didn't get to chose it's date.

They were old pals which is why they probably come close to mind. None close to the calibre of Benn around now though. Or even a St John-Stevas or Denis Healey to be honest.

Well, given I was wrong about Brexit on here, wrong about the last election, and if I could be bothered to go look, probably wrong about the Indy Ref too. In that case... I can't see beyond a Tory landslide. Theresa May is 100% going to be PM after June. There.

Fucking hell, have you had a brain transplant in the last 24 hours? If he has, it's now malfunctioning.
