I for one am very proud of our lads. Reaching the semi-finals is more than most of us dared hope for. They conducted themselves impeccably. They won a penalty shoot-out. They gave us the rare luxury of watching a match without having to worry about the result. They have won back the respect and affection of the nation, which had been squandered by the previous bunch of useless wasters.

Well apart from Sterling who didn’t really impress, this bunch of lads have done miles better than we could dreamed of. Finally we have a bunch who want to play for England rather than play and not appear to be interested- yes I’m looking st you Rooney.... It looks promising for the future for the first time in years. No bad thing

Better than losing to Iceland. Getting out of the group without looking awful was all that was hoped for. You know where this is going; the only one of this pair still breathing is Minnesota dentist Walter Palmer and the world and his animal rights activist dog knows he paid £35,000 to kill the lion on the left.
