MMMDP Forum Guide 16 - Baron Waqa While most have their minds set on former Nauru president Sprent Dabwido because of his failing health, we should not forget about current Nauru president Baron who @Predictor made this comment about: Oh, and then there the bastard Baron Waqa, whose size rivals that of the nation he is governing. Still one of my favorite comments ever on this website Anyways, pick the fat fuck.

I appreciate your thoughts on this GUN. I am going to take your points in two parts - this part will deal with your scenario which has come true - no scoring occurred in April. Yes, the top 3 scores will be eliminated in May. Also for May, I am reverting back to the original rules, which stated that in a non-scoring month teams would not be replaced but will just carry over into May. Last month I had forgotten this and by the time I caught my error in calling for new lists (actually someone else caught it for me) several teams had gone to the trouble of creating and posting new teams, so I let those stick and gave everyone the option of doing the same. This time all April teams will become May teams. So no one needs to do anything this month, except pray for some points to be scored on your opponents lists. (Probably a tacky comment, sorry.).

The second part of your post, GUN: I feel like the water is building up behind the dam. It can only take so much, and we are about to get a batch of deaths any day now that will break this game open. As many as 3 teams will be going home at the end of May. BUT, if less than 3 teams score any points, then those teams will be eliminated and I will adjust the number of eliminations needed for June to try to get us back on track. New teams will be required for June and late penalties will apply. As far as using previous "countback" points to eliminate teams in months with no scoring, I think I may use that in the future, as it sounds like a legitimate way to break even scoreless ties. In effect, a scoreless month creates a tie among all remaining teams. However, I don't feel I can implement that without a fair warning announcement to all players, so I will establish it as a front post rule this month with the goal of being able to use it later in the game if needed. Thanks for the helpful idea, GUN.

Good luck to everyone in the quarter finals. Interesting to read the masterlist. No surprise that as we move towards the pointy end of the competition that the runners are more obscure. Certainly wouldn't like to have my name on there! Good luck to them as well.

Feeder was my favourite band when I was a littlun. I still love it 2 decades later. As a side note, I've kept in my notes a list of songs I've posted on this thread to make sure I don't post them again. This is my 100th contribution to this ever-growing DL playlist here. I'd just like to apologise profusely.

Roy Orbison reminds me of my nan. She loved his voice. I agree with her. This here is live, and you wouldn't think it given how pitch perfect it is. Neither would you think he performed this about 2 weeks before he died

I've gone through a list of all 136 original UK episodes of Whose Line.... surely Peter Cook can't be the only person that was on the show who's now dead? US version had Robin Williams in an episode, plus a few novelty guests who turned up that are now dead as well (Chyna, Hugh Hefner, Florence Henderson).

Very sad news from the D (I should start a Detroit thread, just to get some people's goats. But there's plenty of activity) Russ Gibb who owned the iconic Grande Ballroom in Detroit has passed away at 87. Many a late 60s and 1970s band rolled through there. In fact it was a coming of age to play the Grande (pronounced Grandy). RIP SC Here's a quick read: Russ Gibb Remembered. EDIT - Gibb is the one who started the 'Paul Is Dead' rumour re: Beatles.
