Zoe Tate was a pretty iconic character in Emmerdale, in my opinion. Surely her 16 years on the soap put quite a big stamp on its history, considering the many gripping storylines her character was involved in...

Maybe she's bribed the reaper with reefer.

Can the DL Committee please pledge not to put such a non-entity on the list ever again? Soap stars are z list celebrity level unless they’re soap legends like Barbara Windsor or June Brown.

I'm with you. I cannot see any reason why dressing up as a character when you are not the same race as said character should offend anyone. If a black person wanted to dress up as, for example, Marilyn Monroe or Donald Trump, and used make-up to alter their skin tone, that wouldn't offend me, why should it?

Jack Nicholson is an american actor known for roles as The Joker in Batman (1989) and Jack Torrance in The Shining. Retired from acting in 2010 because of some memory loss. There isn't very often any update on him so I don't know if he has any major health issues, but he is 82 years and in more recent pictures he look a little more overweight now. Personally I think he gonna be alive for while yet, but you never know when death comes knocking.

RIP... I kind of liked her, even though her dealing with the situation was at times annoying. But then, I don't know how I would react.

Wikipedia now says the 29th of September, but need to await more confirmation there.

You know, when I was a little kid I hated golliwogs because they looked repulsive. And the Black & White Minstrels repelled me too. But real, actual black* people - no, I was fine with them. They didn't look anything like those other horrible things. There was no connection in my mind. *Of course I would never have dared to describe them as black. That would have been very offensive. We were brought up to be polite and say "coloured". Although I always found that confusing because we're all coloured, aren't we?

So it is wrong because the minstrels involved blacking up and that was synonymous with racial oppression? I find it easy to accept that it is wrong to black up to look like the B&W minstrels or the gollywog off the jam jars but I still query if your fancy dress intention is to look like Mr T and you are not black then some artificial tanning lotion is required and I don't understand why that offends because it is just a colour like blue and surely if we can get to the point where there is no racism that is where we need to get to - black, blue, yellow, brown, white, purple are all just colours and have no deeper meaning? Otherwise when do we ever move the issue forward? PS Kinnock - welcome back!

Found a fix for not being able to view this site on my phone. It seems that my provider is blocking the site by simply refusing to answer DNS queries. By installing the free 1.1.1.1 app (it's available for Android and iOS) you can redirect DNS over an encrypted link instead, which you provider can't block.

A fair point about rugby supporters to be fair. Not the same code but... One time when Carlisle Utd had a nail-biting encounter with Barnet our pre-match pub was shared with supporters going to the Rugby League Challenge Cup final. Supporters from all teams can go and tend to turn up wearing the shirt of their team - meaning Wembley that day was full of the likes of Whitehaven, Dewsbury, Featherstone Rovers etc. Had a chat with a few of them in the pub and thought this a really good idea in terms of everyone mixing to celebrate their love of the game. Also - if the FA adopted it - the only way Carlisle fans would get to an FA Cup final

Overthinking it - I'd say the Scotsman in question in the joke is a supporter who enjoys a pre-match pint

Let's get summat straight - re the post above and that. I LOVE drug-addled hippie noises and whimsical English proggy twaddle more than is healthy for any human. But the download delight from another obscure blog site today is a collection I've been hunting for some time. A site rejoicing in the name of notveryprettymusic put up this particular volume of TTFTVW today - composed mainly of lurid cash-ins on the hippie craze and low-budget redneck country broadsides affronted at stinking lazy longhairs. So, THIS is what I'm currently listening to: and you can find it here: https://notveryprettymusic.blogspot.com/

Rugby is a racist sport, not a single Arab nation in the world cup I will support Tonga instead, as it might be in Africa, but not sure.
