I just realised it would have been Pat Troughtons 100th birthday a few days ago. Hope he's having a good celebration in the after life ! I will watch the newly animated version of The Faceless Ones today to celebrate !

R3 Ultra-fucking-accurate Predictions 1) Clorox Bleachman V Deadsox: Deadsox has John Prine (WHOoOooOooOO???) as a joker, which might help, but Clorox is my prediction because I haven't got a shitting clue who most of his names are so they must be unfortunate misses for me. 2) Sir Creep V msc: Both had a stormer last round. Gut says the Creep will make it to the Quarters despite losing the first round. 3) Book V JiroemonKimura: He has the right joker and he has Prine (WHOoOooOooOO???) and Domingo, both of whom I'm kicking myself for not picking. Jiro gets it. 4) Captain Chorizo V The Quim Reaper: I'm "not competitive". And there's more chance of me shitting in the Queen's handbag than making the Quarters again. Cho has an easy one. 5) Grim Up North V Grobler: Interesting picks for Grobler, but I'd put a couple of quid on GUN nicking the win. 6) DeathByArsenic V Torva Messor: Torva has more picks that I recognise and feel like are fucked very soon. I could, and probably will, be totally wrong. 7) An Fear Beag V YoungWillz: He won it so narrowly last round but YW is very much in with a shout of going further here. As a consolation prize though, I gift An Fear Beag the 'e' back in his name which Joseph Russell keeps missing off. 8) Banana V Death Impends: He's done Spade. But I don't think he'll do two fellow cup favourites back-to-back, will he? I'll go Death Impends. Either way, it'll be close and the scores will be through the fucking roof.

My team with "who the fuck are they" descriptions for Biblio and co: 1. (Joker) Mark DeSaulnier – US politician, California congressman. Took ill with pneumonia and had a fall. Said to be gravely ill, then had two separate "health has got worse" notices in the last week, so I can only assume he is very very ill. 2. Lee Teng-Hui - A drol favourite. Got to pick one of them. 3. Michael Ziegler (Pride industries CEO) - Same CEO in a hospice I picked last month 4. John Prine - "An absolute nobody" Deathray 5. Bob Glanzer - US congress politician who got coronavirus and his colleagues helpfully said today they "dont know if he's going to make it". 6. Bennie Adkins - Popular Medal of Honour winner in the US. 7. Gary Burford - Dying musician I nicked off Death Impends team. 8. Ronald Shurer - Medal of Honour winner in the US I nicked off Death Impends DDP team. 9. Robin Hanbury Tennison - Explorer and former boss of the Countryside Alliance, now gravely ill with coronavirus. 10. Said Amara - Algerian football legend, played for Bordeaux in the 60s, now gravely ill in Algeria 11. Peter Duchin - Band leader/musician from New York. Also has coronavirus. The team has a majority of non-corona cases: 6 to 5!

William Helmreich, a prominent sociologist perhaps best known for walking nearly every block of New York City, died Saturday morning of coronavirus (NO SHIT?). He was 74. Helmreich wrote nearly 20 books, including "The New York Nobody Knows: Walking 6,000 Miles in the City," which chronicled his walks through New York City talking to and learning about its residents. SC EDIT: oh and for those bitching at SC for keeping it real around here. "After testing positive for coronavirus, Helmreich's symptoms appeared to be improving when he died suddenly on Saturday." It's what this thing does over and over. So when someone thinks they're feeling better....it's the most dangerous of times. They need to double down on whatever precautions or remedies they are doing. I wasn't put on earth to make friends and I surely ain't on a website -- about death -- sugar-coating reality. This thing is a killer. Know the symptoms and course that it takes.

Furlough your staff and shut down like everyone else? They're not pretending to be worried - you thick cunt, it's a deadly disease; they're trying not to kill you.

I hate NME with a passion. But I love you Deathers, and that's all that matters.

You know whats even more depressing. That someone as old as yourself is using this time to morbidly stiff chase and post figures wildly available elsewhere on the web as if their some kind of oracle. Shouldn't you be spending your last few months enjoying free access to pornhub premium, or has it all gone a bit rusty and stopped working down there nowadays? Is it the ticker, worried you might have a heart attack?
