2 pointsIt is now June 28th in the UK. Clarissa Eden, the widow of Prime Minister Anthony Eden, as well as niece of Winston Churchill, has turned 100. Eden is the second spouse of a British Prime Minister to do so, after Mary Wilson (Wilson turned 100 in January 2016).

1 pointI finished the German Netflix original "Dark" today. It's Stranger Things turning into Lost - might be a recommendation for Toast, actually. The series finale is out this week, after three seasons. It mostly gets it right. Mystery series always struggle when it comes to wrapping things up. But the story was much more concise than Lost, better characters, more answers. Not everything makes sense, but the ratio is quite good.

He attributes his longevity to eating lots of veg, and presumably playing lots of tennis as he was still playing into his 90s. As a 2 time Wimbledon mens finalist before most of us was born, and a US Open winner, he'll get a QO as and when he goes.

1 pointI haven't been to any famous funerals, but my Mum knew someone who used to gatecrash wakes ... for the beer & vol-au-vents. Family members would assume he was a friend of the deceased & friends assumed he was a relative of the deceased. Sounds like a nice easy way to get some free food & drink. I think I'll try it sometime.
