Bit of an overkill response to criticism of Gooseberry's pregnant nobodies thread!

Stanley Schumacher, a former Speaker of the Alberta Legislature, has died. He was 87. Schumacher was a federal Canadian politician as a member of the Progressive Conservative party from 1968 to 1979. He stepped aside in '79 to allow party leader Joe Clark to run. Clark won his seat and became Prime Minister. Schumache ran provincially in 1986, winning his seat and serving as an MLA until 1997. He was a deputy Speaker before being elected as Speaker in 1993. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/stan-schumacher-death-1.5766918?cmp=rss

If RadGuy had still been a regular on here, he'd be very offended that you've never heard of Fetty Wap.

100% think Poitier should make the list in 2021,he has been frail for a while Loren on the other hand could be here for a while, plus her fellow 60s Sex Symbol Compatriots(Monica Vitti and Gina Lollibrigada) are doing much worse and would be better inclusions to next years list

Come on, you just made those names up, didn't you?

Sidney Poitier is definitely a must-have for next year list, but Sophia Loren ? I don't think she's on her way out (at least I hope so !) If you are searching for strong contenders and obitable actresses from the 50-60's, here is a short list : - Ursula Andress (1936) - Claudia Cardinale (1938) - Brigitte Bardot (1934) - Angie Dickinson (1931) - Barbara Eden (1931) - Tina Louise (1934) - Yvonne Furneaux (1928) - Caroll Baker (1931) - Anouk Aimée (1932) - Gena Rowlands (1930) - Irene Papas (1926)

She died of aspiration pneumonia, which was also the CoD of Lee Teng-hui and Stan Lee and almost killed Dilip Kumar twice. People who suffer from it are usually very frail. I guess The Queen of Technicolor spent her last years bedridden and in failing health.

Sadly Rhonda Fleming wont be making next year's list: https://variety.com/2020/film/people-news/rhonda-fleming-dead-spellbound-out-of-the-past-1234808175/

I know it's been posted elsewhere, but I felt Rhonda Fleming's death deserved a mention in this thread too. https://deadline.com/2020/10/rhonda-fleming-dies-film-tv-star-hollywood-golden-era-was-97-obituary-1234599156/

Goes without saying but Katie Hopkins is an obvious one we can add to the list.

One day a florist went to a barber for a haircut. After the cut, he asked about his bill, and the barber replied, 'I cannot accept money from you, I'm doing community service this week.' The florist was pleased and left the shop. When the barber went to open his shop the next morning, there was a 'thank you' card and a dozen roses waiting for him at his door. Later, a cop comes in for a haircut, and when he tries to pay his bill, the barber again replied, 'I cannot accept money from you, I'm doing community service this week.' The cop was happy and left the shop. The next morning when the barber went to open up, there was a 'thank you' card and a dozen doughnuts waiting for him at his door. Then a Member of Parliament came in for a haircut, and when he went to pay his bill, the barber again replied, 'I cannot accept money from you. I'm doing community service this week.' The Member of Parliament was very happy and left the shop. The next morning, when the barber went to open up, there were a dozen Members of Parliament lined up waiting for a free haircut.

I agree with your first statement, but will say again that I think ALL deaths should be recorded in the yearly death thread. It should act as a complete record. I agree wholeheartedly with (2).

    1) No it shouldn't. Notability should trump age. Threads like the centenarian one or the generic Deaths in 2020 should only be used where there isn't a clear place to post them. 2) Shut the fuck up.

Thanks all. I've been really lucky this time! Referred to the local mental health team, and as I'm in the system I've started new treatment called DBT. In fact in the most positive way, I've been using the sick period to study like crazy so the result is that my Doc at mental health team is seriously impressed with not only my actions but my progression. In other good news- it's made a massive link between my use of alcohol and my depression, so much so, I've not touched a drop since 31st May and whilst I'm not promising a totally ban for life I can honestly say, this is the longest I've not touched a drop for over 30 years. The big test will be the return to work in 10 days, but I have a few ideas for that. So all in all, positive etc.

Isolating after having direct contact with COVID positive person last week. Currently this person is in hospital. I'm not displaying any symptom and always followed any safety procedure required at work.
