RIP Geoffrey Palmer. I don’t blame the committee for this miss, I didn’t even have Palmer lined up for my 2021 shadow list. I thought he was going in 2022. Palmer was one of the oldest living Fawlty Towers cast members. To my knowledge, Raymond Mason (96), André Maranne (94) and Elizabeth Benson (94) are now the only living Fawlty Towers cast members, who were born before Palmer.

Bill Gosden, director of the New Zealand Film Festival for almost four decades and one of the most influential names in that country's cinema industry, has died. He was 66.
