CAPTAIN TOM'S DEATH WALK 2/50 2nd February 2021 COVID-19 personality Captain Tom Moore has died from the very same thing that brought him to fame to bring the crowdsource list up to its second score. Captain Tom was a World War 2 veteran where he was a part of the Fourteenth Army (also known as the Forgotten Army), serving in Burma during his time in the army. He eventually became an instructor after returning to the UK before he demobilized in 1946. After the army he became a sales manager in York where, apart from a single appearance on gameshow Blankety Blank, he seemed destine to fade away from the limelight completely. That all changed in April 2020 however, where he decided to start a fundraising campaign near his 100th birthday. All of a sudden, his life rejuvenated, at least as much as any 100 year old man could. He smashed his fundraising goal, and he raised over 30 million pounds by his 100th birthday. He then became a media darling, giving over 150 interviews until to his death. He also topped the UK charts, proving once again that you don't need any vocal talent to top the charts these days. Finally, he go knighted by the Queen for his fundraising efforts, and eventually was able to appear in the Guinness Book of World Records. His last year was frankly more eventful than anything I've ever done, and his constant media coverage made him a shoo in for the Crowdsource List, debuting at the 23rd spot on the list.

KNUTSFORD FC are mourning the loss of one of their unsung heroes. Dave Jenyons, who was a valued volunteer in helping to maintain and improve the club’s facilities, died on Sunday, January 24. He was a stalwart of the club for many years and especially the 2010s when supporting his son Steve’s captaincy of the team’s most successful decade in the club’s 132-year history. ...and likely the only time the Knutsford Guardian will be used as an obit source. Apparently he was a bit of a Bobby Heenan type commentator and beloved by French fans I know. There's a good tribute thread on ProWrestlingOnly for those who want to read more on a guy we English speakers didn't hear much of.

Been a bit slow competitively in dead pooling in general, but hopefully things get back in the swing of things soon. Josh Evans might be the start of things to come, who I had on my Alt Obits team. Looks to be a trio at best though given two public teams have him

"Cardinal Rodríguez Maradiaga, in a May 2002 interview with the Italian Catholic publication 30 Giorni, claimed that to divert attention from the Israeli-Palestinian crisis, Jews influenced the media to exploit the current controversy regarding sexual abuse by Catholic priests." Seems like a nice chap.

We are not 'Over The Peak'. Stop saying that, people won't listen to advice that is for their own good but the minute you say something like 'over the peak' they go nuts and think they can go back to having parties, stop wearing masks and hug everyone they meet.
