2 pointsIt's fast, it's furious it's f***in' good fun. Teams of 20 topplers posted on this thread or PM'd to MPFC will be collected into a masterlist to provide a carnival of carnage, the counting of which goes live in the first second of 2022*. Points aplenty pour into the scoreboard until someone snags the stupendous total of 2022, at which point the event that used to be the fastest deadpool in common useage (until MPFC started something faster!) slams on the brakes and the lucky winner is duly given metaphorical back-slaps and allowed to claim a prize worth about a tenner (though tradition thus far dictates this turns into a charitable donation)**. Closing date for entries is midnight on 30 December 2021. She's mastered everyone else's ceremony, 'bout time she did the duties for us, then! In it to win it this year are... Feel free - should you win - to opt for consumer goods, mind!

2 pointsSir Keith Skinner, 4th Baronet, aged 93 Death Notice: http://announcements.telegraph.co.uk/deaths/253165/skinner They are all called Thomas (after the first baronet) but they don't seem to use the name, even the heir is James rather than Thomas. Instructional in the ways of the aristos, the baronetcy relates to a fucking street in Chelsea. Yes, m'lord, until he's 3 blocks away.

2 pointsGuardian Obit for Peter Watson-Wood, TV documentary cameraman turned film producer, aged 92: https://www.theguardian.com/film/2021/nov/01/peter-watson-wood-obituary Mad Dogs And Englishmen and The Wicker Tree among his credits. Interestingly, the obit refers to his friendship with Anthony Newley. Leslie Bricusse just died, now this (though when exactly, I'm not going on a search). Maybe Tony Newley's Mates should be a theme team? Things come in threes, who's next?

2 pointsHawkwind at the Palladium last Thursday. 80 year old Dave Brock handled half the vocals and half the guitar solos. Was genuinely weird to look down on them from the Royal Circle rather than standing and allowing their lightshow to overwhelm me. True to form they played stuff from their new (37th) album, threw in greatest hits in the middle and gave set space to randomly chosen album tracks seldom played on recent tours.

1 pointSturgeon was on the telly this morning claiming that 97% of electricity in Scotland is directly sourced from renewables?! Honestly, if I had a quid for every time a lie dropped out her mouth…

1 pointYes, if it was a choice between him and say Jerry Lee Lewis for inclusion it's a bit of a no brainer.

1 pointWell, Pat Martino fans may have to wait for puns until a Qobit (preferred term round here) appears. How long is a cricket pitch? 22 yards? Hey, it was 22 years that Alan Igglesden had a brain tumour before he returned to the pavilion in the sky (if you believe in that sort of thing...). Coincidence? Yes, of course it is. Cricket's a slow game, but 22 years? Igglesden's passing caught out a few of us, but not gcreptile, msc, Death Impends and Grim Up North who all score. Bonuses: gcreptile plays a 6 - Pair of 6s - 10 Points; Two Pair of 6s and As - 15 Points; Two Pair of 6s and Js - 15 Points; Two Pair of 6s and Qs - 15 Points - Total: 55 Additional Points. msc plays a 10 - Pair of 10s - 10 Additional Points. Death Impends plays a 2 - Pair of 2s - 10 Additional Points. Banana brought Igglesden on as 12th man (13th actually, Ally McLaws was a first sub) - anyhow, draws a K Clubs for 13 Points added. gcreptile now puts clear daylight between himself and the chasing pack and becomes the first player this year to break the 1000 Point barrier. But holding 4 pairs now (which is ridiculous) a serious possibility of tremendous points coming if full houses are made. Anyway, leaderboard updated.

1 pointAgreed he looks in fantastic shape for a 95 year old man, I know anything can happen at that age but would be surprised if he doesn’t reach his 100th Birthday he could easily pass as 15 years younger.
