A bit sad that the twitter headline reduces her to being a girlfriend.

Entrepreneur Kate Craig-Wood died aged 43 in September 2020 but her death went unnoticed until 2021. She was interviewed by a number of British newspapers 10-15 years ago when language used to describe transgender women was very different to nowadays. It seems she stepped back from her company Memset and sold it at the start of the pandemic, under the name Kate Helen Bishopwood. You'd think there would be a blog post or a DL Cup-level obit but there's nothing out there, aside from someone on Twitter who wants to know her cause of death. She is definitely dead though, as her estate has been claimed and her house sold for £1m last year.

Moscow man buys newspaper, glances at front page, throws it straight out. Next day: same again. And again. Eventually, seller snaps. "Why do you do that?" "Oh, I'm just checking for an obituary." "But obituaries aren't even on the front page!" "The one I'm looking for will be."

Someone who is in a nursing home (not Denville) apparently - my theme team pick Richard Franklin, when not in hospital. Speaking of which, Franklin still recovering from "complex major surgery" according to Katy Manning.

Wow - that should be big news. He was one of the show’s most recognisable faces at one point. As a kid, I watched it for him! I hope, if it is true, the family confirm it to the press. R. Dean Taylor’s recent death going hardly noticed was sad.

Okay, so here is the annual reveal of the UK Eurovision entry, sung by Sam Ryder, a Viking from Essex. All well and good doing a song called Spaceman but I can’t help but think Babylon Zoo did it better.

Finally, would have still gotten a QO without the Yahoo loophole: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/obituaries/2022/03/09/r-dean-taylor-musician-whose-song-ghost-house-loved-northern/

You'd be shocked to learn how many families try and announce the death of somebody notable via Wikipedia and don't do anything else. It's always very awkward pinging them with a message saying "sorry for your loss, but you can't break it here".

Easy target, that's why. Permissible when it's royalty or politicians or celebrities you don't like? I'm not even a woman, and I feel a little disturbed coming on here and seeing men of a particular age (and it's almost always the men on here in the 40/50+ bracket) calling women they're not keen on bitches/cows/horses – words you cannot and wouldn't apply to men. Is it any wonder we have few female members...

If this is true, that's a shock. He was a very recognisable face from Emmerdale. I never watched it but I remember him playing Bernard on Queer as Folk!
