Apparently Boris Johnson has had his weekly phone call with Volodymyr Zelenskyy. "It's important even in moments of high stress like this that you take a moment out of your day to reassure someone in a much worse situation than yourself", said the Ukrainian President.

Well, yes, remember getting rid of Boris means getting rid of Dorries, Rees-Mogg, probably Patel, and others too.

I genuinely thought they were going to wait until the bad by election results later this month and use that as evidence and cover for their decision. Interesting times lay ahead! Remember Theresa May won her no confidence vote giving her a years immunity but she still went before a year was up and when she won the no confidence vote Jacob Rees Migg said she should still go because a high percentage of colleagues had lost faith in her. He is now arguing the opposite in the case of Boris.

If he's dumb enough to do it. There's a good possibility he loses his own seat. Raab would probably be gone too along with a few others.

Its 43 years since Jack Haley only had a heart attack & died, aged 81. Best known as the Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz, he got the part after MGM's resident song & dance man Buddy Ebsen suffered a bad reaction to aluminium powder in the make up (Ebsen suffered breathing problems for the rest of his life as a result of the make up but still outlived all the principles'). He appeared in several RKO pictures in the 1940s but moved into real estate, making only occasional guest appearances until 1977. He was actively working until a week before his death, suffering a heart attack on 1st June, dying on the 6th.

I was hoping she would do something like this.Think this could make things worse for Boris. Can't see it persuading any MP`s on the fence.

Former US sprinter Tommie Smith is 78 today. He won gold in the 1968 Olympic 200 metres - with the first official sub 20second time - and sparked controversy by displaying a Black Power salute atop the medal podium, with bronze medallist John Carlos (who incidentally was 77 yesterday). This lead to both men being being suspended from the team (on the orders of IOC President Avery Brundage; the USOC initially refused but capitulated when the whole track team was threatened with expulsion).

John Penrose the Government's anti corruption Tsar has quit his role saying BlowJo is a liar who misled the house. Let's not forget Boris employed his wife Dido Harding to run test and trace despite having no idea what she was doing.Looks like he can even rely on cronyism.
