6 pointsChristopher Lee died on this day 8 years ago, aged 93. - One of Lee's great-grandparents was the opera singer Marie Carandini. - Lee's first film role came in 1948's Corridor of Mirrors as Charles- the character had only one spoken line. - Lee's breakout roles came when he became a mainstay of Hammer Films' horror movies, starring in The Curse of Frankenstein, The Mummy, and seven Dracula films, all as the leading monsters. - Lee soon became fearful of being typecast, so in the 1970s he starred in the James Bond film The Man With the Golden Gun as Francisco Scaramanga, and also made an appearance in Airport '77. Lee also provided his voice to 1982's The Last Unicorn as the villainous King Haggard. - Lee's career had a renaissance in the early 2000s, and many of his best known roles come from this period- for example, Saruman in The Lord of the Rings films and Count Dooku in the Star Wars prequel trilogy (a role he reprised for the Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV show): - Lee would also often collaborate with Tim Burton during this time, having roles in his films like Sweeney Todd, Corpse Bride, the live-action Alice in Wonderland remake, and the 2005 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. - Lee would be knighted during the Queen's Birthday Honours in 2009. - Lee made three appearances on the DeathList; in 2009, 2014 and 2015, where he was the fifth death of the fourteen that year. - Lee died 11 days after his 93rd birthday; his wife delayed the public announcement of his death until four days after it happened.

3 pointsRobert F. Kennedy died on this day 55 years ago, aged 42. - Robert is often known by his initials or "Bobby"; his older brother JFK called him "Black Robert" due to his prude nature. - RFK served in the Navy during World War II from 1944 to 1946. - In 1950, he married Ethel Skakel (#18 on the list), and they had 11 children between 1951 and 1968- their youngest, Rory, was born after RFK's death. - RFK served on Adlai Stevenson II's 1956 presidential campaign, but was dissatisfied with him and voted for Dwight D. Eisenhower. - After helping his older brother's campaign, he would be made the US Attorney General; during his tenure he prosecuted Jimmy Hoffa and the Teamsters. - While he was a supporter of the civil rights movement, RFK authorized the FBI to wiretap MLK's phone after accusations of the latter's association with communists. - Many people were in favor of RFK becoming LBJ's running mate in 1964- this did not happen due to their mutual dislike of each other, and Johnson ultimately chose Hubert Humphrey. - RFK instead ran for the US Senate for New York in 1964, winning by a landslide 700,000 votes. He would then declare his candidacy for the Democratic Party nomination for president in March of 1968. - On June 5, 1968, RFK was shot three times at the Ambassador Hotel in LA, and died from his wounds the next day. Like his older brother's assassination, there are conspiracy theories surrounding it- his own son, Robert Kennedy Jr., believes that Sirhan Sirhan was not the assassin and that a second gunman was involved. On the other hand, the initial report states that Sirhan- who is Palestinian- shot RFK for his support of Israel in the Six-Day War. - RFK wished to be buried in his native Massachusetts, but was interred near his brother at Arlington National Cemetery. His younger brother Ted would also be interred there after his death in 2009:

1 pointI've resisted sticking my oar into this conversation so far - people will have differing views on this and in that respect, I am no different. (Ha ha, that's got to be a figure of speech I can' remember the name of, I'm sure!). Again, there is zero evidence so far that anything took place while one party was under the age of consent. Grooming allegations - I've seen nothing at all and I'm not aware of any reputable news source publishing any exchange of messages which would indicate this or challenge Schofield's version. There does seem to be some evidence that the other person was vulnerable - whether the full story of that relates to money, sexuality or mental health issues we may never know, but whether that would be enough to displace full consent is very debateable. There are plenty of people in adult relationships where one party may be described as more vulnerable than another. So now we turn to speculation. Something not discussed is whether the other party maybe had a crush on Schofield from a younger age. He requests help from his hero to get into TV, that happens and suddenly he is in close contact with the object of his younger affections. It's possible. And before you accuse me of victim blaming, I see no evidence that the other party has claimed they were a victim in the relationship. Without that, we then speculate there was a power dynamic. Once again, no evidence so far that Schofield used his position to exploit the other party, or threatened him with dismissal or consequences. Workplace shit happens. If the lad had been doing Alison Hammond or Holly Willoughby up the chuff, I remain of the view that this would not be a big deal. What the lad wasn't prepared for was the press taking an interest in Schofield cheating on his wife, and TV personalities manoeuvring their uncomfortable nature of what seems to have been the subject of gossip for their own ends. ITV's cover-up of the whole thing has been an absolute shambles. Now that doesn't mean I'm entirely on Schofield's side here. It seems clear he felt untouchable, the star feted over many years who really didn't care about his colleagues or indeed his guests - helped by ITV it seems who saw him and Willoughby as their revenue-spinners. Therefore I am of the view that rather than focus on the relationship, it's whether these stars of the show would be protected, they knew they would be and that complaints about them would be ignored. That's the real story here. Imo.

1 pointApparently she died last month. How are people supposed to maintain a celebrity deathlist if their publicists take so long announce things like this?

1 pointThere have been cases - one fairly recently but I can't recall exactly when - of the world's oldest title being surrendered by someone who remained alive; because another claiment was proven to be genuinely older. That's less and less likely to happen with better record keeping from the end of the 19th century.
