It's absolutely horrifying to read that post. Seeing something completely inexcusable and responsible for so much distress in the world. The poster really must learn to put the day first in the date, not the month.

But all the good things, Jonathan? All the good things.

Was driving on A361 North Devon Link road. Seline Saxby, Tory posters all defaced with Saxby 4 Sewage. Fair enough on several levels.

He'd come back to work I'd imagine Greg. Imagine if a Tory PM didn't attend COBRA meetings on numerous occasions because he couldn't be arsed. Oh wait that did happen Greg

These are most likely fruit flies or possibly drain flies. Attracted to water, especially stagnant water if the latter. Baths are a brilliant place for this. Can indicate the presence of mould in your bathroom if they are in great abundance, so perhaps check for that. They've died because the water has made their wings and body too wet to fly away, rendering them unable to escape.

Just seen a report that Sunak is in some Morrisons. The sign at the bakery section says "Your baker today is Rishi". Surely that's the yeast of his worries?

Still looks pretty well for his age.

I thought Eamonn Holmes had his own thread... anyway, forced to pull out of show, seemingly on a downward spiral for several reasons: https://metro.co.uk/2024/07/02/eamonn-holmes-forced-leave-gb-news-show-ill-health-21145959/amp/

Grant Shapps has it all covered. He plans to "significantly increase" the size of the army by giving all the existing soldiers 3 additional pseudonyms each.

Still gets around a fair bit for his age. He was in Little Eaton in Derbyshire (my neck of the woods) the other week to unveil a blue plaque to commemorate his grandfather who designed the local school.

However, both of them received nationwide recognition. If, for example, Norm McPhee was "only" a community theatre director, he wouldn't count because his fame would be "too local". But here are some sources for these two showing them receiving national awards: https://racinecountyeye.com/2021/06/08/racine-theatre-director-aact-national-award/ https://bellevilleareaindependent.com/tim-katona-earns-nrha-lifetime-achievement-award/ By the way, I liked how I received both teams within 8 minutes.

Looks like I'm now at 14 hits with George Alagiah, Barry Bennell and Shane MacGowan. You know who didn't obit? Nick Hitchon, of the BBC series 7Up. What a farce. He's eligible for replacement now I am going to replace him with polish composer Jan AP Kaczmarek.
