Honestly it’s not worth making prediction at this point, he could linger for months (even though I don’t think he’ll make 2025) or drop dead tomorrow. The only thing that fascinate me is How could he still be alive in that condition ? Also, I doubt all the things Jason Carter said about him talking politics and everything are real…

How to comment? He has deteriorated further, still able to be wheeled out and not on oxygen. He could still go on a few months, and by now predictions about Carter just don't make sense.

Makes first "public" appearance in 11 years. To save you all a click, there are no new photos. He attended a family wedding, which was strictly private and all guests were required to leave phones at the door, presumably so no photos could be taken. Still, it would have been the first time he was allowed to mingle with extended family as his controlling wife only allowed 3 people (herself included) access to him. Maybe suggests she's softening her approach. He'll be on Loose Women, I'm A Celeb and Celebrity Chase before you know it...

Aye, this reminds me, there was a discussion in the pre-match pub before MK Dons gave Carlisle a lesson over 90 minutes a few weeks back. Firstly, with this being the 50th anniversary of our top flight season a few of the old squad have been trotted out and some - Les O'Neill, Bobby Owen, Tom Clarke, Peter McLachlin - are in impressively good shape. This observation soon morphed into a gleefully politically incorrect chat suggesting if only we'd been more willing to head the ball 50 years ago we might have avoided relegation (unlikely IMHO), secondly there was some discussion about what would happen if you took 22 dementia afflicted footballers, put them on a pitch and threw in a ball. An interesting idea, as it goes, because such treatments as make any difference to day to day lives are often about getting people behaving in familiar ways. Was reminded of this a couple of hours back seeing a guy being led about by a nurse and realising he was retracing the walk he used to do home from work to his house.

But, like Spike and Sellers, his heart will goon.
