Previous post ^ It looks like Clorox Bleachman added 2 to Teenage Dream before changing their mind. We should have 24 Katy Perry — Teenage Dream Please would the next person to post use this score.

Some happy news I want to share with all of you: about two months ago, my wife and I became parents for the first time. Our son is in good health and growing well, just as my wife has recovered well from giving birth. Our daily lives have changed massively, but we're lucky enough to have lots of loved ones who are there for us in these changing times. We're both completely in love with our boy, and it's great to see him learn new things.

Don't understand the hate for Reet Petite. I have fond memories of it. At the time I was working on a promotion, mundane office job stuffing envelopes and the like while listening to music on a Walkman. Reet Petite was a favourite as it continually zipped back and forth from ear to ear, just a really fun track to listen to in that medium.

3 eliminated today. You know what that means…yep; a lovely little move of the ole goalposts. Rather than skim off the bottom song, I’m killing off both the songs that, since the start of this, haven’t been touched at all. Clearly, they won’t be missed. Fri 29 Nov 46 Pet Shop Boys - Always On My Mind 40 Rage Against The Machine — Killing In The Name +4 36 Girls Aloud — Sound Of The Underground 35 Tom Jones — Green, Green Grass Of Home 35 Pink Floyd — Another Brick In The Wall -6 32 Mud — Lonely This Christmas 31 Wham! - Last Christmas 28 The Flying Pickets — Only You 28 Benny Hill — Ernie 21 Danny Williams — Moon River 21 Shakin’ Stevens — Merry Christmas Everyone 20 Michael Andrews & Gary Jules — Mad World 18 Whitney Houston — I Will Always Love You 18 Dave Edmunds — I Hear You Knocking 18 Emile Ford & The Checkmates — What Do You Want To Make Those Eyes At Me For? 18 Frankie Laine — Answer Me 18 Clean Bandit ft. One month to go and still no sixth hit. If no one else on the 2024 list dies before December 7th, the 2024 list will fall behind the 2011 list.

Its 31 years since the death of songwriter and lyricist Tommie Connor, aged 89. He has what you might call a diverse portfolio, having written the words & music for I saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus, English lyrics to Lili Marlene (Lily of the Lamplight), and the words ro The Biggest Aspidistra in the World. Additionally, of all the tunes in Ennio Morricone's score for The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, only one has lyrics. He wrote those too. (The Story of a Soldier). Still not diverse enough? He wrote the lyrics to Val Doonican standard O'Rafferty's Motor Car, as well as Alma Cogan's hit Never do a Tango with an Eskimo. The Glenn Miller Band too!

I've been allowed to see the first draft of the 2025 list. Some sensible picks ruined by the wacky choice of Jimmy Carter.

Tumor removed and they told me it was non-malignant. Post-surgery ICU was an...experience with the stablizing my BP etc, but I was not in much pain and felt safe having nurses in the same room 24/7. Worst part might've been having the cannulas, catheter and other stuff removed. In the next bed there was a 70-something woman who'd had a more dangerous tumor (meningioma) removed and got out of ICU (and out of hospital) before me, and even asked the nurses if the other patients are okay. Standard hospital room was much more "boring" but tricked me into getting up and walking around. I'm out of hospital now, left with a gnarly scar with around 20 staples, slight occasional dizziness, back pain, a pair of hospital socks etc...hoping I won't get any complications. Thank you all who wished me well.
