Bit unfair on a dying man to suggest he meets the British PM, really.

Aye well, in stats I just made up, if you remove the votes that were "fuck the Tories/Labour/etc", the UK voted in favour of remaining. Honest. I mean, they blatantly didn't but if we're playing inane hypotheticals...

And if you take out all the votes for the major parties at the last General Election, you will find that the UK voted strongly for the Monster Raving Loony Party.

If you take out the votes that were for the SNP rather than to actually Remain in the EU then you will find that Scotland voted strongly in favour of Leaving.

Spectre of Election re-runs after Electoral Commission fine the Tories for accounting irregularities. On a side note, £70,000 fine? What incentive is that to a political party worth millions to stop effectively rigging elections in certain areas? Anyway, look forward to the named and shamed MPs being put to the vote.

Have to say biggest enjoyment for me today was John McDonnell's characterisation of the PM on Budget Day as "guffawing like a feeding seal".

They're one of the eight remaining teams which also owes something - literally - to the luck of the draw. Not dissing their amazing journey but just trying to keep it real. And - yes - to the post above. Soon enough they'll revert to being Leicester.

The Stranglers, absolutely brilliant gig again. I'm not a dedicated fan, just a "greatest hits" sort, but they have so many terrific tunes in their huge back catalogue that every time brings different delights. Not to be missed. Next gig - John Otway

So, today, im working on a line, up a pole and its fucking tall and wobbly and im old and no likey climbing tall wobbly poles anymore. Some old duffer, walking stick in hand, hobbles towards me. He is as deaf as a post and he is saying something but I cant here too well coz im fucking miles up the pole or summat. He asks me if Im working on the lines because his line is out of service. I tell him I am and its his line im working on. Im irritated because he has reported the fucking fault and im the engineer FFS, do the maths you old twat. Soon Ive sorted the problem out then go into his house to be greeted by a nice old fella who is surrounded by walls full of the most beautiful water colour paintings created by his old and worn hands. I was invited back anytime to view more as he shook me warmly by the hand while thanking me profusely for getting his phone line/careline back in action. I must learn patience and I must learn not to judge. I must learn to breathe.
