Dutch footballer Bennie Muller has passed away aged 85. He played 426 games as a midfielder for Ajax between 1958-1970, becoming national champion five times with Johan Cruyff and coach Rinus Michels. He also was part of the Dutch National Team from 1960-1968, just before their succesful years and perhaps most importantly, part of my Dutch shadowlist in 2023.

In 1987, a year after his death, Japanese researchers leaked to the media the idea that he had been "only 105" and had taken on the identity of an older sibling who had died GWR retracted this claim only in 2010.
