Godard's lawyer has said that he died after "multiple incapacitating illnesses": https://www.theguardian.com/film/2022/sep/13/jean-luc-godard-chose-to-end-life-through-assisted-dying-lawyer-confirms I guess the two aren't mutually exclusive. Perhaps he wasn't "actively" sick at the time he chose to die, but was left very frail after previous health problems, and didn't want to go on with a very reduced quality of life. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
