Funny how the game can grind on for 2-3 days with 9-10 left and no apparent resolution in prospect then suddenly within a few hours we lose 3, there's another on the brink and the game's over.

 

I adopt the novel strategy of upvoting the one i like the most and downvoting the one I like the least, hence banging away downvoting Ashes to Ashes throughout the 80s final despite it obviously having enough support to get it to the latter stages. I also ignore the ones I don't know, as long as there's enough stuff I dislike sufficiently to happily downvote without listening to them. Still got no recollection of TBS or Adamski.

Adamski's in my library as a result of being in an "electropop" compilation.  It's OK but I don't find it memorable and always have to have a listen to remind myself what it sounds like.

I just got reminded of the emotions I felt when I saw Take That live (with Robbie Williams) at Wembley Stadium when they sang Pray so...yeah. The atmosphere was electric.

 

Also same concert that made me hate Pet Shop Boys because they were opening act.

As we discovered when I collated the 80's scores before the Grand Final, their final group positions counted for nothing in many cases. Much like a World Cup winner almost never being the 'form' team in the pre quarters stage.
