It looks to me like Barbara Rush's QO came about an hour too late.

Strangely, justonecornetto suffered from the month of march arriving a few hours late (Paul Vachon's leap year death) and ending an hour too soon. So it actually was an extremely close match-up.

 

Another curiosity of the round: Perhaps scored 0 points but his subs 1 and 2 died. He was saved by the luck of the coins.

 

Spade_Cooley lost to the kind of random old people hit he had previously warned of, of them being more dangerous than the teams with the typical assortment of hospice people that are often shared among players anyway.

 

All remaining players have submitted a team, by the way. Masterlist will be up in a few hours.

All in all, a fairly accurate prediction of our match. Apart from the last bit - it wasn't a good game!

 

I knew I was in a spot of bother after the first week, when all of my ICU types survived (seriously Kaiti Grey - how?). My chances of success lay in getting an early lead that I could hang on to, and when that didn't materialise, I was always vulnerable to my opponents more long-term sickness picks. You are not going to win too many games if you don't score!

I turned mine in a couple hours to spare, like we do.  Didn’t have a clue my ringer had died; and I only threw Irving’s name as my sub bc I figured you would launch him yet again though I’m certain he’s fine and a liar, but I could eliminate one of your picks should the unfortunate occur, which it did. Same reason I made Harrell my joker (I knew you would) and why I listed Jimmy Carter (don’t wanna get caught w pants down should he actually die).  I did my best to make this a 6-on-6 match or so, and to that extent I’m ok with my lineup.  But they’ll either all be dead or ok by March 4th.
