Being I have never done DDP before, when does the 2024 list and scoring board end on the site and when does 2025 begin?

It’s usually up around the 14th or so from my experience.

While waiting for the 2025 site to be up and running, here is my analysis for my team and their likelihood to be a hit:

Tim Bilton: Stage IV melanoma for over a decade. seems to be doing fine. 20%

Noam Chomsky: Seemed to be writing articles on recent events until now. Severe stroke and prematurely reported dead last year. This surely has to be the year he goes. 95%

Roberta Flack: ALS since 2022, no news reports recently. 50%

Chris Hoy: Terminal prostate cancer, could go the same way as Bill Turnbull in 2022. 30%

Sophie Kinsella: Glioblastoma, memory loss. Personally, I think she's a dead cert to me. 100%

Steve McMichael (Joker): ALS for four years, inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame from his hospital bed. Looks fucked to me. 100%

Lee Meriwether: Alzheimer's since 2024, lost her daughter recently, and slowly declining. 60%

Linda Nolan: Despite her recent falls, far too stable for someone with Stage IV breast cancer. 45%

Isabel Peron: Still immortal by my acclaim. Wouldn't be surprised if this is the year she finally goes after picking her for almost 20 years. 25%

Larry Pressler: Pancan in remission, but you never know what might happen. 45%

Esther Rantzen: She may continue to be in the press through 2025, but very sick. Could see 2026 or could go this year. 50%

Ian Smith: Terminal lung cancer, despite being happy at Christmas, his cancer is the sort that sets you to fucked. 80%

Nigel Starmer-Smith: Bedridden since 2021. Dementia and unable to communicate. Hopefully this could be the year he actually goes. 80%

Frankie Valli: Frail and seems close to his last legs. 60%

James Van Der Beek: Stage 3 colorectal cancer, but you never know if it's too early for him. 35%

Dick Van Dyke: Old, showed signs of slowing down at the end of 2024, nearing 100, but will he reach his centennial birthday? 60%

James Whale: How the fuck is he still alive? 70%

Bruce Willis: See Nigel Starmer-Smith: 75%

Emily Willis: Comatose after cardiac arrest in 2024, in a vegetative state since then. 85%

Joanne Woodward: She's a goner for sure. 100%

Peter Hinwood of Rocky Horror fame is the choice  I was most nervous about  not being unique and well we shall see but I'm already aware from glancing through the thread that I haven't  got 60 unique picks because  @livingbygrace also selected the brilliant  choice of Tommy Sands, who he called Tom Sands which gives me slim hopeits a different person but I don't think so!!

Hoping  I manage to hold it at 59 unique picks but time will tell!

Regardless I've really enjoyed the process of putting the teams together.

Still no sign so far on this  forum at least that anybody else has picked Peter  Hinwood  AKA Rocky from The Rocky Horror picture  show (film) . Too early to be sure but daring to hope  he is a unique pick.

If you are quick: Join the DeathList CorrectList 2025. The deadline is either January 10th, or if there is a hit before that time on the Main Death List 2025, this game will close.

Oldest Living State Leaders DP II (2024-?). Is open for new players.

You can soon join the Death List Cup and the Inverse Death Pool.

The Windy City Dead Pool 2025-2026 will start in May or so.

Could I trouble you for the link to the main death list please? I've found and joined the correct list

The wording of "this week" seems to suggest Tuesday as opposed to Wednesday. Otherwise, it would've simply put "today" or "Wednesday".

It might take a family announcement to resolve this one.

Sally Oppenheim-Barnes QO: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/obituaries/2025/01/02/sally-oppenheim-barnes-conservative-consumer-obituary/

First of my former personal survivors to die this year, has been picked before so I assume she's in the mix this year.

Sean listed her on his publicly posted MPs theme team.

Honestly think we're waiting for a funeral notice now, as nobody in the press seems that interested in clearing up the Tuesday/Wednesday debate.
