Very sad, but 98 is a momentous age to reach.

These last six months have been truly massive for big world leader deaths (and for celebrity deaths overall). The Queen, Pope Benny, Gorbachev and (soon) Jimmy Carter all gone.

Really hoped him and Rosalynn would make it to 80 years. Not many couples who married in 1946 are still alive and together!

Definitely seems more like a Barbara Bush Pope Benedict or QE2 situation than a Malacy McCourt , Christy Dignam of Frank Field situation.

Would have been nice but 76 and a half years is a hell of a good one.More than the vast majority even get near to.

I figured he'd show up - I was more thinking about Bill potentially being in bad shape.

I’d imagine so. It seemed very awkward having Trump in the same row with Obama and Hillary at Bush’s funeral. Now with Biden there, it’ll be even more awkward

The average hospice patient lasts about 3 weeks after admission, given that Carter will get the best treatment possible means he'll probably be gone in 4-5

"Has decided to forgo any further medical treatment"

"Will get the best treatment possibile "

You have serious difficulties in comprehension.

The comments by his grandson make it sound like Rosalynn is also near the end tbh.
