Sir Creep 7,070 Posted January 31, 2017 Bobby Freeman, an American singer whose #5 hit 'Do You Wanna Dance' went on to be covered by The Beach Boys, Bette Midler and Cliff Richard, has reportedly died aged 76. Sad news and great song. However, the Mr.Bojangles yassirbossin Negro outfit in that video -- entertaining an all white crowd like Mantan and Sleep-and-Eat from Bamboozled -- is a frightening reminder of where we were in America in 1958. Sir Creep 7,070 Posted February 3, 2017 Not a pop star by any means but at a loss where to place this otherwise. So a rather popular shoegaze Detroit-area band called Majesty Crush was around in the late 80s, early 90s. I didn't know singer David Stroughter personally but saw them a couple times in clubs and I did play music with his bandmates from later projects. Apparently Mr. Stroughter, now in L.A., decided to go to the airport on a high speed chase, alight from his vehicle wielding an ax at police, and promptly received his just reward.
